About Nichole Moorman

Before I knew the word "mindfulness" I was practicing intentional, moment to moment awareness when long distance running with my cross country team and when alone and with no other choice than to feel strong emotions. As a social worker, therapist, and mindfulness teacher, and growing up in a hard working family with its fair share of problems,  many times I have felt trapped, overworked, and overlooked because I didn’t have tools and guidance to understand and express my lived experience into skillful, sometimes bold action.

I began dabbling in contemplative practice in the early 2000s, first taking up yoga, and then discovering the balm of mindfulness and meditation practice. I have worked as a mental health professional since 2005, training extensively in trauma informed care and integrating mindfulness into my work with clients. I am licensed as clincial social worker in Colorado, am a Qualified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Tecaher through University of Masshacusetts' Medical School's Center for Mindfulness, and am working towards being certified as an EMDR therapist.

Currently, I operate a small private practice specializing in helping big hearted individuals who struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma (big or small) to quickly connect with internal resources and gently untangle sources of stress. I honor the role that awareness and internal resources play in any process of healing or self development. I teach classes and provide individual sessions both online and in person throughout the West and Midwest.
