About Michael W. Regier, PhD
Dr. Michael Regier is a certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist and Supervisor. He teaches couples the big picture of attachment, helps them heal relationship injuries and create new attachment bonds to promote healthy patterns of living and loving. Michael maintains a busy couples practice while supervising and teaching therapists.

Michael and his wife Paula co-authored and published Emotional Connection: The Story & Science of Preventing Conflict & Creating Lifetime Love. Paula writes the story of a couple in crisis and Michael narrates the therapy sessions and science that heals their relationship. Emotional Connection captivates, resonates and educates. It has been helpful for hundreds of couples to understand their relationship hurts and heartaches and find the path for healing and lifetime love. In addition, they have developed the Emotional Connection Relationship Foundations Online Course which teaches individuals and couples how to get it right from the start, how to make sense of previous relationship failures, and how to create a strong relationship to withstand the tests of time.

Michael earned his Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology. He has over 30 years of experience working with diverse client populations in inpatient, outpatient, addictions and corporate settings. He is a former faculty member at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland and is currently an adjunct faculty member at the Kaweah Delta Psychiatric residency program in Visalia, California. He is also a Certified EFT Supervisor and Couples Therapist.
