Five Top Lotions and Potions for Your Face

You're going to want these!

By Andrea Ducharme for

A self-proclaimed skin care junkie, I am always testing out new face and body creams to find the best glow-getters out there. Here are my all-time top 5 faves:

1) Bio-Oil

This simply magical anti-aging serum does it all – hydrates, improves skin tone and firmness, reduces scarring and stretch marks and makes skin glow. I was very reluctant to try this on my face as I tend to have oily skin, but now it’s my go-to night cream. Bio-Oil is loaded with Vitamin A and E, so I gave it a whirl and was HOOKED! I apply it to my face, neck decollate and even the backs of my hands every night. After two years of faithful use, I can honestly say my 44-year-old skin looks darn good! And at $20 a bottle, it is a total steal.

2) Jergens Natural Glow Face Moisturizer

This oil-free lotion has SPF 20, lightweight hydration and gives your complexion a light glow. I use fair to light every a.m. and LOVE it! Why not get a bit of color while protecting your face?

3) Neutrogena Ageless Intensives Deep Wrinkle Eye Cream

Ladies, the name of the game is Retinol. This is the ONLY ingredient approved by the FDA for anti-aging. Trouble is, it is very unstable and can irritate sensitive skin. Leave it to the geniuses at Neutrogena to figure out how to put this powerhouse ingredient into a soothing eye cream. Say goodbye to crow’s feet for good.

4) Olay Reviver Body Firming Lotion

This delectable lotion firms your skin and leaves a subtle shimmer with a light scent. Simply divine!

5) Clinique Repairwear Intensive Night Cream

Hands down the best splurge for normal to dry skin types, Clinique Repairwear your face look and feel brand new. With just a small amount, this rich cream firms and hydrates without any stickiness and even works under makeup. Worth every penny.
