The findings were presented by Sarah Arpin in San Antonio at the Society for Personality and Social Psychology Annual Convention. Arpin along with her colleagues did an online survey of 162 cohabiting or married couples for 32 days in a row.

In this survey, each participant had to answer a few questions — like what's the best thing that happened to them in a day, whether it was shared with anyone or not, and the way the good news was shared with their partner along with their partner's reaction.

The participants also informed about their present level of intimacy and loneliness with their partner. These answers were carefully analyzed and compared by the researchers. The researchers noticed a definite pattern.

The day in which their partner received the good news in a supportive manner was the day where they had a sound sleep.

This study shows how important it is to have a supportive partner. You should be a good listener and this will benefit both the partners in the long run.

The study was carried out among heterosexual couples and was part of a larger study with the aim of improving the experience of service members rejoining the workforce after deployment.

The author explained that veterans could face various challenges when it comes to relationships, loneliness, and sleep problems.

In their presentation, the researchers explained how participating in good news shared by the partner can significantly enhance the health of the couple.

According to the study, sleep problems could lead to problems like obesity, diabetes, and others.

In the future, Arpin emphasized that the study should be conducted on the impact of sharing good news on specific behaviors like alcohol consumption, diet, and more.

So, listen to this important piece of relationship advice. From now on, before you go to sleep, you and your partner should take the time to share your good news with each other.

You will strengthen your relationship and if you have a good relationship with your partner, you're also likely to have an amazing sex life.
