About Dawn Michael
Dr, Dawn Michael is a relationship expert, aasect certified sexuality counselor, certified clinical sexologist, sex educator, sex researcher, author and public speaker. In college she majored in speech communications and competed nationally on the speech and debate team. Having the tools to communicate effectively in any relationship, is one of the key elements in achieving a successful relationship. She continued her graduate degree in marriage family child therapy working with teens, and as drug addiction counselor in a psychiatric hospital. She pursued her dreams as an interior designer creating couples interior design leading to intimate designs for the bedroom. She went on to earn her PhD in human sexuality. Dr. Michael has published several hundred articles, as well as two books My Husband Wont Have Sex With Me and Ultimate Intimacy Guide For Passionate People. She has been featured as an expert on national television, radio and in magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Women's Health, Bride, Askmen, Huffington Post, Shape, Fox, eHarmony, Bustle, SheKnows, Popsugar, PsychCentral, Self, Healthline and Prevention. Currently she is in private practice and co owner of The Sexual Health and Wellness Center in Southern California.

Being An Author
As any author may know, writing a book is truly a labor of love because so much time goes into the process and most books initially are done without payment. As a working mother of two, it was especially difficult to find the time to write, research and find a publisher who believed in my work. My book "My Husband Won't Have Sex With Me" released Feb. 2016 was truly a labor of love, sprinkled in with passion, hard work, and a bit of craziness to write and research at all hours of the day and night to complete the book. About 5 years ago I posted an article on the platform squidoo called Reasons Why My Husband Wont Have Sex With Me. After 6 month it went viral reaching #1 in the relationship section and getting 4000 plus views a day, resulting in millions of view a year, along with over 2000 comments. The article ran for 3 years until squidoo went out of business. In that time I decided to make the article into a book using the comments as my guide as to what people wanted help with and also using the comments in the book. I eventually found a publisher from Singapore who I had been writing articles for, for a few years and felt a connection with. The book was edited out of Hong Kong, typeset in India, published in Singapore and me the writer in the United States, so it truly is an international book. At the present time I am working on a guide book for couples, which will be released in early 2017.
