The end of a relationship is always a difficult time, whether or not you are the one who is choosing for it to end.

Here are six tips to survive your breakup and come out the other side healthier  and happier!  than ever:

1. Remove Access To Pictures

Take any pictures you have in frames and on your phone and store them away somewhere (or get rid of them). Getting rid of the constant reminders of your ex will be helpful.

2. Un-friend Him On Social Media

I know, I know. This is hard to do, but it is extremely damaging to stalk your ex on social media. So eliminate the chance to do so and un-friend him.

3. Don't Jump Right Into Friendship

The urge to remain friends stems from the need to not lose this person from your life. However, it is best to have some time and space to evaluate whether you actually need (or want) him to be around in any way, or whether you're just holding on.

4. Take Time For Yourself

Time is the best healing source for a breakup, so take as much time you need. Don't force yourself to move on too quickly  no matter what advice anyone gives you.

5. Get Some Air

Literally spend time outside in the fresh air. Staying cooped up all day isn't healthy, so you should dedicate time each day to being outside. You'll be surprised by how much clearer your head feels while walking outdoors.

6. Go To Therapy

As humans, we tend to pick the same partners repeatedly. After beginning to heal from a breakup, you may think to yourself that the problems in your last relationship sound pretty familiar to the problems you had in past relationships.

Going to therapy can help you heal while figuring out what you need to move forward and find someone better suited for you.
