When was the last time you wore lingerie to feel gorgeous and sexy?
To find out how more women can do this, I interviewed Courtney Maxwell, a plus sized model for City Chic, which specializes in intimate apparel for larger women (sizes 14 to 23).
Here are her top three insider tips for taking your sexy lingerie game beyond the typical g-string or thong so you can look — and feel — sexier.
1. Start with the right undergarments.
When you have the correct underwear, it creates a beautiful silhouette that makes your outfit look the best. Wearing Spanx or control underwear are helpful for most of us. These garments smooth us out and accents the areas we want to highlight, making our jeans, dresses, and clothes more flattering.
Try on all different types of sexy lingerie. Courtney loves wearing corsets as they give her an instantly sexy attitude.
A push-up bra may be just the item to take your dress go from attractive to Wowza! So be prepared to watch his head turn when you walk in the room!
2. Schedule a professional bra fitting.
Courtney says it’s mandatory to have a bra fitting with a skilled expert. She advises women to let go of their fear of exposing themselves by realizing bra fitters are professionals whose purpose is to help you look and feel beautiful.
You want to wear a bra you don’t even notice you’re wearing, so make sure it’s not pushing on your shoulders or riding up your back.
Many women make the mistake of purchasing bras in the wrong cup size, so be sure to try it on and ensure it keeps the ‘girls’ exactly where you want them.
3. Make sure your man knows the importance of giving you compliments.
Regardless of how long you’ve been with your partner, it’s imperative to continue sharing compliments. It can be as simple as giving her a look that says, "Let’s stay in tonight."
Men, we want to impress you, so when you tell us how beautiful and sexy we look, our confidence grows. Telling your partner or wife you love how incredible she looks when wearing your favorite lingerie will encourage her to do it more often.
We know you’ll enjoy that and you'll probably experience the benefits more in the bedroom as well!

We women are tough critics on ourselves. Remember, our partners do appreciate it when we put a little extra effort into our appearance, but our confidence is what makes us most desirable.
