About

I am a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Iowa and owner/CEO of Central Iowa Psychological Services, a group mental health practice serving children, teens, adults, families, couples, and the elderly in Central Iowa. In my practice I provide psychological assessment and therapy to children as young as age 3, adolescents, adults, and families. My areas of specialty include working with children, teens, and adults who have attention-deficit disorder, learning disabilities, behavior problems, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and adjustment difficulties due to abuse, bereavement, or divorce. My goals in psychological assessment and therapy are to help people determine their strengths and areas that could benefit from further growth and then to use this knowledge to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. My primary theoretical orientations are cognitive-behavioral and family systems models. With young children I often work in a play therapy modality in combination with the parents and family.
