Who Is Danielle Jbali's New Boyfriend? New Details On The '90 Day Fiancé' Star And Her New Man

Danielle Mullins Jbali remains one of the most controversial figures ever to appear on TLC's 90 Day Fiancé. The Ohio resident married her much younger husband Mohamed from Tunisia on the show in 2013, despite significant questions about his motives for pursuing the relationship. The marriage itself lasted only until he got his green card when he moved out to live with a friend. In the years that followed, the couple allowed TLC to continue to film their lives as they struggled to legally disentangle themselves from one another, even though it was clear that Danielle’s feelings for Mohamed had never faded. Now they’re divorced, but has Danielle been able to move on? Read on to find out. Who is Danielle Jbali's new boyfriend?

1. International romance

Danielle met her future husband in an online chat room. The two hit it off despite a significant age difference — he was only 26 to her 41. She also had grown and nearly grown children from her previous relationships. But the couple insisted that it was true love and Mohamed came to the United States from Tunisia and prepared to move to Ohio to begin a life together with Danielle.

Danielle was much older than Mohamed.

2. Early problems

It didn’t take long for Mohamed to realize that Danielle’s financial situation was far from stable. He discovered that she had significant debt and he was justifiably concerned about taking on that responsibility once they were married. He decided to go ahead with the marriage anyway and the two filmed the wedding for TLC’s cameras. Even saying “I do” didn’t settle their problems. Danielle claimed that Mohammed withheld sex from her and He, in turn, said she had genital hygiene issues. Danielle also alleged that he was contacting other women on social media, and even traveling to meet them, leading her to wonder if he was cheating. Her entire family and her friends all questioned his motives in entering the relationship in the first place. Could he have been in it for the green card? That seemed increasingly plausible when, as soon as he got his green card, he moved out and went to live with a friend from work.

3. Annulment

In the series Happily Ever After, audiences reconnected with the couple at a point where it was clear there was no possible way they could make their marriage work. Mohamed had actually left Ohio with another woman, whom he claimed was a friend, and moved to Florida. Danielle continued to stay in contact with him and as she tried to figure out how best to end the marriage. Her friends and family were arguing for annulment on the grounds that he had committed fraud by marrying her when he was more interested in US citizenship than in a life together. Mohamed resisted that idea because it could have led to his deportation. The whole conflict came to a head with Danielle following him to Florida where the two had a screaming match in the streets. Ultimately, however, Danielle capitulated to his wishes and gave him a divorce, which would not affect his immigration status.

Danielle chose divorce over annulment at Mohammed's request.

4. Divorce

The couple divorced in 2017 and Danielle spoke to InTouch magazine about how the experience with Mohamed changed her, saying: “I’m more cautious. I’m not as trusting. I do have trust issues because of Mohamed and the things that I went through. I have men messaging me from all over the world and they’re like, ‘I love you,’ and they send me videos of them jacking off and stuff like that and I’m like oh no we’re not going down this road.” She also said that being on reality TV affected her kids, telling In Touch:  "…the kids do get recognized and they do get messaged and stuff like that, and people do dig into our pictures and things like that — I do regret that. But then, they have grown from the experience too, because I’ve been very honest with my kids. So they’ve grown with me and they’ve always came to me with concerns and stuff like that.”

5. Love after divorce

Danielle’s interactions with fans with romantic hopes hasn’t been all bad. She recently explained to In Touch that that’s how she met her new man: “He had reached out to me and Mohamed both during our first season of 90 Day Fiancé. We stayed in contact after me and Mohamed split. He was there for me and my kids after Mohamed left. … He approached me and did a hypothetical scenario, [saying], ‘What if there was someone who would love you, support you and be there for you?’ When he first did the hypothetical, I cried. I never thought someone like him would be interested in me because he is educated in the profession of teaching. We are still together.” In addition to the new romance, she also says that her history made her who she is, saying “I do think it made me stronger.”

Danielle has a new man.

So far, Danielle isn’t sharing any identifying details about her new boyfriend. But fans can check in on her on the TLC online-only series, 90 Day Fiance: What Now.
