Do you have a social media addiction? If you always have Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter apps open, you’re addicted. If you constantly check your feeds or the pages of other people, or if you wake up in the morning and the first thing you do is check your social media, you may have a serious problem.
There are some personalities who are more likely to have a social media addiction than others, and we can use astrology to pinpoint the zodiac signs who are addicted to their social media accounts. Because the stars would never lie to you.
Okay, so you spend a lot of time online, but you don’t feel you have a problem with it. Ask yourself if you could go without any social media for a week. If so, what about a month? Or, how about disconnecting from all of them? If shutting down your Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram isn’t something you’d even consider doing, you are addicted.
If you don’t share that much but have a schedule of checking your ex’s pages, your friends, or the new person you’re dating, you’re more of a lurker. You like the information you get from social media but you’re reticent about sharing your own life. If you’re a lurker, you still qualify as someone addicted to social media, even if you don’t have much of an online presence.
1. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are social in real life, so why wouldn't they be social online? They make a habit of checking all their social media first thing in the morning and throughout the day. They love sharing things, especially political, humanitarian, and music.
Geminis love to get a dialogue or discussion going. If they were around at the start, chat rooms would have been their jam. Now, they join communities that share their sensibilities and causes, because there's nothing they like better than talking about the things they're passionate about.
2. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are lurkers. They may be sparing with their comments, but you know they had to scroll down your page to get to that post in order to comment on it days later. Scorpios love to know what's going on in other people's lives while remaining quiet about their own life.
If a Scorpio is someone you want to investigate before getting involved with them, good luck. Their social media isn't going to tell you much, but they're going in and they'll know almost everything about you.
3. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are known for their love of the spotlight, and what's a good way to be the center of attention? Social media. Leos are masters at sharing the best selfies, magical moments with their significant other, random but delicious food pictures, their latest shopping indulgence, and amazing travel photos.
A Leo's story is a dazzling one. Naturally, Leos have a ton of followers. However, Leos can get burnt out on their social media and will announce that they're leaving. But they usually come back because they can't stand everyone not knowing how fabulous their life is.
4. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are social media savvy, and they know what to post to help their platform. They're sharers and lurkers as they're also gifted in cyberstalking. Libras will have all their social media pages and sites active and open, and they check their ex's pages often, if not every day, or every hour, even if they're not hung up on them any longer.
Libras look because they want validation that their ex's life isn't as fantastic as theirs, and that their ex misses them a little. It's a talent how Libra can get that their ex still isn't over them from pictures of their vacation with their new partner.
5. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians are the casual social media user — all their posts are carefully curated to put them in the best possible light. They share a lot, and while they may "pretend" to share something they shouldn't have, it's usually calculated to get a response.
Sagittarians know that post engagements are what you want, so they will ask a lot of questions and comment on other people's posts. Social media is like a job for Sagittarius, and since they're constantly on it, it can become addictive for them.
