Remember Dane Cook? You might know him from the movie Waiting, his hilarious stand-up comedy, or film Employee of The Month.
He kind of dropped off the face of the Earth. But these days, there’s a lot of buzz going on about him. Actually, people aren’t talking so much about him, but about his teen girlfriend and their 27-year age difference. So, who is she? Here are 4 details about Dane Cook’s girlfriend Kelsi Taylor.
1. Her name is Kelsi Taylor
Who is Kelsi Taylor? Well, like Cook, she’s in the entertainment industry. She’s a 19-year old actress and singer, who has worked as a backup singer for Demi Lovato and Little Big Town. She has performed songs with Lovato, and has covered music by Norah Jones. Her covers can be found on her YouTube channel and SoundCloud.
In August 2018, she put out a four-track EP called ‘Fear For Yourself.’ On her Instagram account, Taylor posts photos of trips and vacations taken with Cook as well as some of her musical performances. By looking at her Instagram, it appears that she works with health and beauty brands to promote their products too.
She’s from California, and got her musical start as a vocalist when she was 10-years old. She reportedly dropped out of college to focus on her music career but thinks she’ll go back someday. Taylor has spent a little time acting too. She has had roles in small films like Beach Seasons and Alchemy. And recently, she finished filming for the movie, American Typecast, which is set to release in 2019.
2. They have a 27-year age gap
That’s right. Cook is 46 years old and Taylor is only 19. This age gap comes up a lot on social media and in interviews. But the couple is more than happy to share their thoughts about it.
Recently, the duo did a Q&A via Instagram stories, and plenty of people asked about the age difference. One person asked them for advice on dealing with relationships with an age gap. Cook jokingly replied, "The only thing you have to do is plan that your deaths will be somewhat far apart."
When it comes to their families, it appears that everyone is onboard, regardless of the difference. "I love her family and we are pretty close and do dinner and hang," Dane said. "My family pretty much all died years ago but my sister like Kelsi a lot." When asked about the age gap, Taylor said, "We’re both very driven people and have very similar goals. Age has no factor in our relationship. Just love, support, and encouragement!"
3. They met at Dane Cook’s house
According to their Instagram Q&A, Cook met Taylor when he “hosted a game night” at his home. This was more than a year ago. "We were friends for a while," said Cook. "Soon after fell in like with each and then upgraded to love." They first posted Instagram photos from a romantic, Hawaiian getaway in February 2018. However, it appears that they have been seeing each other for much longer than that.
4. Cook directed Taylor's new music video
With Cook’s help, Taylor is pursuing her dream of becoming a singer. He recently directed her music video for pop song, "Hour." In the video, Taylor appears topless, a vision that was created by her older boyfriend. She has been promoting it on Instagram, crediting Cook for bringing this creative vision to life and supporting her career.
Looking at their Instagram, it seems that this pair are super in love. But, we’ll just have to wait and see how their age difference affects the relationship down the line.
