Watch The Full Prince Death Scene Video, Plus 9 Shocking New Details About His Tragic Death

April 21st will be the two-year anniversary of Prince's death since he was found dead in his Minnesota home. It is fitting then that a number of new details about his shocking death emerged, including the full Prince death scene video released by cops. Prince was 57 years old when he was found unresponsive at Paisley Park and his untimely, shocking death rattled  the world.

He was found to have died from an accidental overdose of the drug Fentanyl, which is an opioid pain reliever with effects that set in rapidly and only last an hour or two. It has a very high risk for addiction and dependence and can cause respiratory distress and death when taken in high doses, especially when combined with other substances. A number of high profile people have died as a result of accidental overdoses of Fentanyl including singer Tom Petty. Investigators recently uncovered a number of new details in Prince's death:

1. Prince did not think he was taking Fentanyl. 

Ina very sad turn of events, Prince apparently did not know he was taking the deadly drug Fentanyl. Instead, he thought he was taking the common prescription painkiller Vicodin. The pill he took was counterfeit Vicodin laced with Fentanyl, which is 50 times stronger than heroin. 

2. No one will be charged In Prince's death.

Because there is absolutely no way to know how Prince got his hands on what turned out to be fake Vicodin laced with Fentanyl, no one will be charged with his death.

3. Prince's friends and family were alarmed.

In the days before his death, Prince's closest friends grew alarmed and realized the iconic singer had grown addicted to opioid painkillers. Reportedly, they tried to get him help but none of them had any information that could help investigators discover who had given Prince the fake Vicodin pills that killed him.

4. Police released video of Prince's Paisley Park home.

Police released a video from the day Prince was found dead in his suburban Minneapolis home. His body can be seen slumped on the floor. In the video, Prince's body is covered with a black dot. Watch the full Prince death scene video below:

5. Investigators regret not collecting Prince's laptop.

During the course of the investigation into Prince's death, police learned he didn't have a cell phone and only communicated via a landline and email. Officers later regretted not collecting the laptop that was found in Prince's bedroom. 

6. Prince's doctor didn't think he looked well.

One of the doctor's that treated Prince told the singer's longtime friend and bodyguard Kirk Johnson that he "just doesn't look really well" about two weeks before his death.

7. Prince's doctor was fined.

The investigation into Prince's death revealed that Dr. Michael Schulenberg prescribed painkillers to Prince's bodyguard Kirk Johnson with the full knowledge that they were actually for Prince. Schulenberg reached an out of court civil settlement with the Minnesota U.S. Attorney's office. He was ordered to pay a $30,000 fine and will be monitored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency for two years. 

8. The investigation is closed.

The Carver County attorney announced the investigation into Prince's death would be closed after two years. During a press conference, attorney Mark Metz said: "For the past two years, law enforcement had conducted an extensive, painstaking and thorough investigation into Prince's death..."

"...That investigation determined that Prince died from taking a counterfeit Vicodin pill that contained Fentanyl, a dangerously powerful opioid. However, investigators were unable to determine how the singer obtained the counterfeit pills. We simply do not have sufficient evidence to charge anyone with a crime related to Prince's death."

9. Prince's estate released a new version of his classic song.

Prince's estate released the original 1984 recording of Nothing Compares 2 U, just ahead of the second anniversary of his death. Sinead O'Connor made the song an enormous hit in 1990. Prince released a live version of the song he reportedly wrote in an hour on his 1993 "Hits" album.
