After 14 seasons, American Idol is officially coming back for the very last time. Thanks to the show we've gotten many talented superstars with awesome voices, but not all of the contestants made it big.
So where are all of top contenders today? Who has the biggest style transformation since their appearances on the show? Here they are in all in their glory.
1. Kelly Clarkson THEN
Kelly was the first person to win America's hearts with her performances. Her last one was "A Moment Like This" before she was crowned the first American Idol.

Kelly left behind her blonde highlights on top of her brown hair and is now all blonde. She's also a mother, married, and has two Grammys under her belt. She's still hard at work and making music.
2. Justin Guarini THEN
He didn't win it all, but he was a runner up to Kelly. Everyone went wild for his voice and loved his signature afro.

You might not recognize him today because of his haircut. Unlike Kelly, he didn't become a huge pop star. His last album was in 2005 but it looks like he's still working in music and was recently seen in Dr. Pepper commercials.
3. Ruben Studdard THEN
In season 2, Ruben won it all with his winning performance of "Flying Without Wings."

It looks like the singer has slimmed down. Since the show, he's released six R&B albums and was on The Biggest Loser.
4. Clay Aiken THEN
Ruben's runner up was Clay Aiken, whose last performance was "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

The singer looks a bit different from his competition days. He's also made six albums and appeared on Celebrity Apprentice. He then decided to switch careers to become a politician. He ran for the bid for Congress in 2014, but lost. He made a documentary about the experience called The Runner Up.
5. Fantasia Barrino THEN
In season three, Fantasia took it all home with her performance of "Summertime."

Since the show, Fantasia released four albums and won a Grammy in 2011 for Best Female R&B Vocalist. She has been in Broadway plays, several TV shows, and had a reality show called Fantasia for Real on VH1.
6. Diana DeGarmo THEN
She lost to Fantasia with her performance of "I Believe." She may have lost, but she got an awesome proposal on the show from Ace Young who was also a contestant.

The couple is still going strong and got hitched in 2013. Since the show, she's been killing it on Broadway. She also was in the cast of The Young and the Restless from 2011 to 2012. She broke into movies with Alto and the upcoming After the Sun Fell.
7. Carrie Underwood THEN
The fourth season winner won with her performance of "Bless the Broken Road" with Rascal Flatts.

Since the show, the singer has released five albums and has been killing it in country music. She won four Grammy awards and has dipped her toes into acting by appearing on Blue Boods, How I Met Your Mother, and Soul Surfer. She was also notoriously Maria Rainer in The Sound of Music: Live!
8. Bo Bice THEN
He was one of the oldest contestants to audition after the age limit was raised. The runner up lost with his performance of "In a Dream."

The long hair is gone! Since the show, he's released three albums. Unlike other contestants, he hasn't broken into acting but his music has been featured movies such as Blades of Glory and Last Ounce of Courage.
9. Taylor Hicks THEN
Fifth season was all his after his performance of "Do I Make You Proud?" He was the oldest to win on the show at 29.

Since the show, he's released three albums and got a Grammy for his work on Jimmy Fallon's comedy album, Blow Your Pants Off.
10. Katherine McPhee THEN
The beauty lost with her performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Although she didn't win, she didn't let it hold her back.

She's released four albums and crossed over to acting in films and TV shows. She was notably in The House Bunny and was the lead in Smash. She's currently in the show Scorpion.
11. Jordin Sparks THEN
The beautiful singer won the title in season six after her performance of "A Broken Wing."

After the show, she continued her singing career by releasing three albums. She has also dipped her toes into acting in movies like The Grace of Jake.
12. Blake Lewis THEN
He lost after his performance of "She Will Be Loved," but that wasn't the end of his music career.

He's let go of the two-tone hair and has released three albums since the show. He seems to love making electronic and dance music.
13. David Cook THEN
The rocker won the seventh season after his performance of "The World I Know."

Since then he's released four albums, his latest being this year's Digital Vein.
14. David Archuleta THEN
The cutie was only 16 when he auditioned for the show, making him one of the youngest contestants of his season. He was runner up after his performance of "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me."

He's still hard at work and has released six albums. He's also appeared on TV shows including iCarly, 90210, and Hannah Montana.
15. Kris Allen THEN
He successfully dominated the eighth season with his last performance of "What's Going On." Since then he's gone on to make more music.

After the show he released four albums and won a Teen Choice Award, People's Choice Award, and Billboard Music Award.
16. Adam Lambert THEN
Many people thought he was going to win it all, but he lost after his performance of "Mad World."

He may have lost, but he hasn't been struggling. He's released three albums and had a reoccurring role on Glee.
17. Lee DeWyze THEN

The ninth season winner got the title after his performance of "Everybody Hurts." He was one of two contestants to never fall into the bottom three on the show.
18. Crystal Bowersox THEN
She was a runner up and the only other person to say she never fell into the bottom three on the show.

She got rid of her locks and has since released two albums. She tried some acting and appeared on an episode of Body of Proof.
19. Scott McCreery THEN
The season ten winner must have made an impression after his final performance. The end match-up was the youngest in American Idol's history with him at seventeen and Alaina at sixteen.

Since he won, he's made three albums and has focused on country music.
20. Lauren Alaina THEN
The runner up didn't quite make the cut after her performance of "Maybe It Was Memphis," but she didn't let that stop her.

She's all glammed up now and released one album after the show. Like Scott, she's been focused on making country music.
21. Phillip Phillips THEN
He was the winner of the eleventh season and came out with the best selling coronation song, "Home." Where is he now?

He's still hard at work and has released two albums. But everything has been going well; he reportedly had a petition with California Labor Commissioner saying his contract with Idol's producer was "oppressive."
22. Jessica Sanchez THEN
The beautiful singer came in as runner up after her performance of "The Prayer."

She released one album called "Me You & The Music" and acted in two episodes of Glee as Frida Romero.
23. Candice Glover THEN
After auditing in the ninth and eleventh season, the twelfth season winner took it all after her performance of "I Am Beautiful."

Kree Harrison NOW
It looks like she hasn't done much after the show. She's released a single called "All Cried Out."
25. Caleb Johnson THEN
The thirteenth winner got the title after his performance of "Dream On."

Caleb is still rocking the long hair. He's since released a rock album called "Testify."
26. Jena Irene THEN
The runner up didn't quite make it after her performance of "Dog Days Are Over," so where is she now?

She finished up the American Idols: Live! Tour and has been signed to Original 1265 Records. She released her single "Unbreakable Me" and is currently working on her debut album.
27. Nick Fradiani THEN
His band made waves on America's Got Talent, but he decided to go solo on American Idol. He won season fourteen.

Since the show, Nick released "Beautiful Life" which was his winning single from the show. He's still working on his first album.
28. Clark Beckham THEN
The runner up lost after his performance of "Champion." But does that mean this was the end of his singing career?

The singer still has some tour dates for next year and has been doing awesome covers on YouTube. It looks like he won't be stopping anytime soon.
