"Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends," the couple announces.
Color us not all that surprised.
"We are living separately and we are much happier this way," the pair told E! News, also the network home of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
This season on the show that made Kim's family a household name, Bruce is often shown living merrily in his rented Malibu bachelor pad. Back in June, Khloe explained the situation to Jay Leno as, "They still like to live apart, which is definitely different … In my house, there is a man room for [Lamar Odom]. A room, not a different house. So I think they took my idea and ran with it. They got another house and Bruce stays there sometimes."
Interesting timing for Kris and Bruce's breaking news, given that Splitsville rumors have been shadowing them for months—and Khloe's own divorce announcement is expected any day now. Is this Kris' attempt to keep some of the spotlight off her daughter's relationship woes?
Regardless, Kris and Bruce—who are also each biological parents to four children from previous marriages—promise E!, "We will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."
