Mango Halves Broiled with Sugar


  • 1 mango (about 1 pound), halved
  • 2 teaspoons raw sugar


  1. Preheat broiler to high.
  2. Place mango halves on small baking sheet or nestle inside small baking dish.
  3. Top each with 1 tablespoon sugar.
  4. Broil until sugar is melted and beginning to turn golden brown.
  5. Watch closely to avoid burning, 5 to 7 minutes.
  6. Let cool slightly then serve.
