The former governator makes a poor clothing choice in the middle of his very public divorce.

What the heck was Arnold Schwarzenegger thinking?! It's not enough that he cheated on his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, and fathered a love child with one of his household employees. But now, the former California governor has to stick it to his estranged wife again by wearing an "I Survived Maria" T-shirt in public while they're currently in the middle of their divorce.

Classy, Arnold.

On Sunday, TMZ cameras spotted the 64-year-old working out in Santa Monica, sweating in a T-shirt that read, "It's Time," on the front and, "I survived Maria 2007-2010" on the back (click here for the photo). 2007 had been crossed out and replaced with 1977 written in black marker, the year in which the two started dating. As it turns out, the shirt was originally made last year by Maria's staff, and was gifted to Arnold during a farewell party as a funny gag. But, given what's happened between the couple since, there's nothing humorous about it now.

Out of all the ratty shirts in his closet he could've worn, why did he choose this one? It would make more sense if his divorce with Maria was getting ugly, but reports claim the couple has been dealing with the split amicably. 10 Reasons Maria Shriver Is Better Without Arnold Schwarzenegger

Did he just happen to forget what the shirt said on the back? Or did he chuckle at its new tongue-in-cheek meaning as he put it on? We don't think anyone can argue that he was oblivious to its shameless implications. He may be a former bodybuilding action star, but he isn't that clueless.

What's your opinion on Arnold's insensitive shirt choice? Do you think he wore it on purpose?
