Rules to Life: 3 L's and a S

3 L's and a S. Read and find out what they mean and that you should never give up on anything

Yes, there is no guide to life, and things sometimes may not go the way you plan. Wait, let me correct myself, things NEVER go the way you plan them! Thats life, and we have to deal with that for 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, and 365 days a year until the day we die.

Since things don't go the way we plan, we shouldn't get our hopes/spirt down. Yes, we all have bad days. Yes, we all feel like things are crashing and burning at times. Yes, we all have those weeks where you feel like everything around you is going wrong. BUT! Don't ever let those bring you down. At times it will happen, but don't let that ruin things for you. If something doesn't work out, yes it is very frusterating, but you just got to remember that you tried, and that you will make it through it!

For me, when I am not in the mood or it is just a bad day, I just remind myself something that a friend told me awhile back, "Live like there is no tomorrow!" What if today was your last day to live, wouldn't you want to live it to the fullest and have as much fun as you possibly can? That's what I do, and to make things better, I have a nice cup of coffee on the side. If that doesn't work, I remember that if things don't go right I shouldn't put myself down.

"You have to decide if you're going to wilt like a daisy or if you're just going to go forward and live the life that you've been granted."

The quote above, well I got that in an email back in July, and thought it had a good point. So then, just recently, after reading this quote again, I thought of the three Ls and an S. What do the three Ls and the S stand for?

  • Laugh
  • Love Life
  • Smile

Yes, Laugh, Love Life, and Smile. I LIVE by the four words because they are all very important in life.

  1.  Laugh: Laugh your heart out! The more you laugh the better you are. Yes, you may get to the point where you laugh so hard that you can't breathe, but when you laugh, your probably enjoying something, and making yourself happy! It is better to laugh and be happy, because then your body is in a positive stage (which is better than being unhappy).
  2.  Love Life: "Love the life you live. Live the life you love," Bob Marley.  That quote says it all. Do the things you love to do, so you can make life more enjoyable. Love your life even if things go wrong.
  3.  Smile: Keep your head help high, shoulders back, and have a smile on that face. Your lips show your expressions more that you think. When you're tired, they open wide and yawn. When you're happy, you have a big grin and maybe even some beautiful teeth showing. When you smile at others, it shows kindness and friendlyness. A smile can make someone else's day and make them feel good. Even if the other person is rude or look unhappy, give them a smile (and yes, I do mean with teeth, no matter if they are straight or not) and still walk with confidence. And believe it or not, it may actually make you feel better. Even if things are or are not going the way you want, you still got that smile that others are seeing, and probably even think, "Wow, they must be having a good day."

Now, all this may seem cheesy, but try it. Like they say, you can't judge something without trying it first. If you're having a bad day, or you're just dead tired, then think to yourself, "Laugh. Just laugh. Make yourself feel better." I did that one day, and I felt so good afterwards, but kind of silly, which I enjoyed.

If you dread going into work, well before you open those doors, tell yourself that you can do this. Then walk in with your head held high and have a smile on that face and feel confident.

If you try this and it works, I want to hear about it. Leave me a comment below, or send me an email:
