After 11 years, the couple is calling it quits on their marriage.

Toss another flower onto the casket of Courteney Cox and David Arquette's marriage because, according to Life & Style, it's dead. After several months of rumors that they were on the rocks, the magazine has confirmed the couple has separated after 11 years of marriage and one daughter, 6 year-old Coco Arquette.

"We have agreed to a trial separation that dates back for some time. The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage. We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply. As we go through this process, we are determined to use kindness and understanding to get through this together. We are comfortable with the boundaries that we have established for each other during this separation and we hope that our friends, family, fans and the media also show us respect, dignity, understanding and love at this time as well," the couple said in a statement. Are Courteney Cox & David Arquette On The Rocks?

Although they just officially separated, there have been rumors floating around for the last several months that things were not all right between the two stars, who originally met and fell in love on the set of 1996's Scream. Courteney was reportedly seen having a lot of romantic dinners with her Cougar Town co-star Brian Van Holt without her wedding ring, sparking rumors of an affair. Meanwhile, David has already moved on from Courteney and has found a new girlfriend, a bartender and actress named Jasmine Waltz, who is best known for allegedly punching Lindsay Lohan in the face this past summer at a club in LA. Although, it may not be a serious relationship (David and Jasmine have just been "hooking up recently" said a source), it does give us little hope that Courteney and David will reunite. Still, the couple meant it when they stated that they are still the best of friends. Just last week, David visited Courteney on the set of Cougar Town and even Tweeted a photo of her dressing room.

"Courteney's Cougar Town dressing room. The girl's got style," he wrote. (Doesn't really seem like the thoughts of an soon-to-be ex-husband, does it?)

"There was no indication anything was going on. This news today, it's very sad," said an on-set eyewitness to People Magazine.

"They we're perfectly professional, though not particularly cuddly," said another source. "[They] just talked to friends on set. None of them knew about the split until just now."

Ah, well. We're sure that Courteney's BFF Jennifer Aniston will have a lot of advice and an ample supply of margarita mix to help her get through this. Although, in a bit of odd timing, their other Friend, David Schwimmer, might not be so empathetic. According to, Courteney's former on-screen brother secretly married his longtime girlfriend Zoe Buckman last June, although they waited to announce it until now.

Maybe David Schwimmer wanted to distract people's attention away from Courteney's bad news by announcing some good news of his own? What a brotherly thing to do!
