Elin Nordegren wants Tiger to get out of her life but stay in the kids' lives.
Although neither Tiger Woods nor his estranged wife Elin Nordegren has commented publicly on the status of their obviously crumbling marriage, RadarOnline is reporting that the two are definitely working toward a divorce that should be final by the end of this year. Is Sandra Giving Elin Courage To Divorce Tiger?
Not surprisingly, it's Elin who is leading the charge, having finally had enough of her husband's serial cheating. Incredibly enough, she tried to work things out with Tiger in therapy but, ultimately, his multiple infidelities were just too much to overcome. And the last straw was Tiger's quick return to golf, which Elin took as a sign that he was not interested in working on the relationship that he destroyed. Since then, Elin has taken several trips by herself or with the children and Radar's source says that, "Elin started to build her own life and once she did she grew distant from him."
However, despite the coldness between Tiger and Elin, the couple has vowed to keep things as civilized as possible for their children's sake:
'They have not been getting along as a married couple but there has been no conflict over the children,' the source told RadarOnline.com. 'They both want what’s best for the kids. This isn’t going to get ugly. They’ve both made sure of that.'
It’s one of the few bright spots in Tiger’s relationship with Elin. They still do not live together, with Elin staying in a rented house about a mile from the home they once shared near Orlando, Florida...'When they are both home, they pass the kids back and forth without any arguing,' the source said. 'They’ve both done everything they can to make it as easy as possible on the children.' [Source: RadarOnline]
Let's hope that Tiger is better at honoring his committment to his kids than he was at honoring his committment to Elin. Does Divorce Make A Man A Better Dad?
