Jon Hamm & Jennifer Westfeldt Are Not Engaged

Jon Hamm Jennifer Westfeldt

Although Hamm is 'mad' for actress Jennifer Westfeldt, the two are perfectly happy playing house.

'Tis the season for celebrity engagements and weddings: just ask Wills & Kate, Nicole Richie, Kelsey Grammer, and Joanna Garcia! So will Mad Men hottie Jon Hamm and long-time love Jennifer Westfeldt be adding themselves to the list as recently speculated? Not to hear Hamm tell it, says US Weekly – looks like it’s just jingle bells instead of wedding bells for this couple.

"That rumor comes up every six months or so, it seems," Hamm told the tab at Charlize Theron's Africa Outreach Benefit this Monday. "But if you hear anything different, let me know."

So why the recurring rumors? Probably because the two have been dating almost 13 years, outliving many Hollywood marriages even though they've never actually made it official themselves. Both 39-year-old Hamm and 40-year-old Westfeldt are children of divorced parents, and neither feels a pressing need to tie the knot. Jon Hamm Likes The Unmarried Life

"I don’t have the marriage chip," Hamm recently explained to Parade. "Jen is the love of my life, and we’ve already been together four times longer than my parents were married."

For her part, the actress (who has appeared on 24, Grey’s Anatomy, and Private Practice) also seems pretty content with keeping things Kurt- and Goldie-style.

"We have always felt married," she told In Touch in April. "We just had our 12-year anniversary last week and we have a house and a dog! At some point, we may, but it doesn’t matter to us one way or the other."

And it looks like this couple will be channeling Kurt and Goldie again in the near future, as Hamm announced in September that he’d be starring in the upcoming movie Friends with Kids, which Westfeldt wrote and the two will likely co-produce. Evidently, the couple that works together stays together!
