O'Lucky Day Reunion

O'Lucky Day Reunion

Eleven hours and counting until I get to see my man again as we begin the next chapter in our book.  It has been exactly 5 weeks since we sat together on his doorstep and threw in the towel for a second time. It seems like 5 months. It feels like 5 years.

Our exchanges the last few weeks have covered a wide spectrum--from silly superficial exchanges, flirty/sexy/courty banter, to an enormous amount of productive, sometimes quite tense discussion surrounding our issues.

We have a lot to talk about, a lot to work on--but we've done a good job of identifying many of our past blemishes. That is a huge step.

Tomorrow is St. Patricks Day!  The first day we lay eyes on each other since 'the doorstep'. Our reunion. We are planning on making a huge deal of this day.  Amazing as he is, he's spent hours making our own clever T-Shirts, planning our festive looks and thinking about where we will shower people with our playful Patty's day energy.

Tomorrow we will probably try to stay away from our sticky issues and just enjoy being in each other's company again.  To allow ourselves to bask in the honeymoon before we allow work to seep back in. To hold each other, kiss each other, hold hands, just be near again. Tomorrow the entire town, hell, most of the world will be celebrating with us....and I think we both consider ourselves very lucky and blessed to be granted another chance to be together.

An Irish Poem:

I'm looking over a four leaf clover
That I over-looked before.
One leaf is sunshine, the second is rain,
Third is the roses that grows in the lane.
No need explaining the one remaining
Is somebody I adore.
I'm looking over a four leaf clover
That I over-looked before!

May the best day of our past, be the worst day of our future.  Cheers!
