Should George Clooney Settle Down?

Clooney's family and friends think he should tie the knot.

Perennial bachelor George Clooney—him of the sexy stubble and bedroom eyes—may have finally met his match. Girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis apparently has him wrapped around her dainty little finger. And Clooney's family and friends are eager to see the two of them tie the knot.

Clooney and Elisabetta first met in Italy, and the two have been inseperable ever since. According to the National Enquirer, Clooney and Canalis have a lot in common. The two have been living life to the fullest, lately, traveling the world, enjoying long motorcycle rides, quick jaunts on Clooney's boat, romantic dinners, and fine wines together. "They are the perfect match," said a source.

Clooney's parents have also reportedly given the couple the thumbs up, saying that they'd be delighted to have Canalis as a daughter-in-law.

Clooney himself, however, once vowed never to marry again, after enduring the collapse of his three-year marriage to actress Talia Balsam back in 1993. But could Canalis make him change his mind?

Canalis is already living in Clooney's Lake Como villa, and Star magazine is reporting that Clooney will "do anything to make her happy." He's already bought her an $8 million villa in Los Cabos, Mexico because "she doesn't like LA much, so he's given her a home away from home in Mexico." Clooney has even added a guest house to the villa, meant to be used by Canalis's friend, who often travels with her.

After spending so much money on one woman, would it really be such a leap to commit his life to her? Or is he worried that saying "I do" would ruin the fairytale romance? As the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. And for Canalis, at least, things already seem pretty perfect.
