The Holiday season is often a time for nostalgia, of thinking back on the relationships that have come and gone in your life. For celebrities it is no different.
In the December issue of Allure, Kirsten Dunst, whose movie All Good Things comes out in March, reflects on the ghosts of boyfriends past. She admits to the beauty mag that she and ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal aren't in touch. "It would be nice to see him," she says. "But we're not good friends." Can You Be Friends With Your Ex?
Since their 2004 split, which involved the the divvying up of both a dog and a home, Kirsten, 27, has remained more-or-less single, while Jake, 28, has taken up a serious relationship with Reese Witherspoon.
Jake and Reese have been dating since 2007, which means their relationship has now eclipsed the one that Kirsten had with him. Five years later Kirsten is still single, but he has moved on... matching their two-year relationship with another one.
After describing her life as "totally regular," she goes on to speak of her need for privacy, mentioning that her new New York City apartment doesn't have a spare room. "My girlfriends will sleep in bed with me, but no guests," she said. "Not long-term, anyway."
