Would You Support A Law That Makes You Take Your Husband's Name?

It's an age-old tradition that has been followed, seemingly without too much protest, for years. For most, making the switch to their husband's last name is exciting; a sort of "final seal" on the lifelong vows you've made. But many women are challenging this tradition nowadays, especially those who are less religious and more educated.

Premarital Jitters? 6 Ways To Avoid Kim K's Mistakes

Newsflash: After 72 days of marriage, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have called it quits. I am not a long-time follower of the Kardashian clan. I became interested when I realized that Olympic Champion Bruce Jenner was married to Kim's mom, Kris. I watched a couple of episodes around the big engagement ... so big that the engagement ring had to be delivered by a Brinks truck. And I — along with a few million other viewers — noticed some signs that they might be headed for trouble. For one thing, on the very day that Kris planned to propose to Kim, they had an argument about money. It was such a bad argument, Kris postponed popping the question ... begging the question: Why did they go through with it? Couldn't they have found a way to breakup before the wedding?

Sir Paul McCartney Marries Nancy Shevell!

Sir Paul McCartney was all smiles on Sunday after he and his lady love, Nancy Shevell, said, "I do!" The couple were married in an afternoon ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London, according to People. The former Beatle and his American wife were greeted with cheers and tons of rose petals as they exited the Town Hall as newlyweds. Guests included fellow Beatle Ringo Starr and his wife, Barbara Bach, Shevell's cousin Barbara Walters, as well as Shevell's son, Arlen, and McCartney's youngest daughter, Beatrice, who served as the flower girl. Both McCartney, 69, and Shevell, 51, wore designs by (who else?) Stella McCartney, Paul's fashion designer daughter.

One in 10 Women, Tired Of Waiting For The Guy, Have Proposed

The women's movement has made it easier for us to crush through many a glass ceiling, have children if and when we want, and enjoy casual hook-ups, but one effect doesn't exactly seem like something to celebrate: More women are popping the question. According to a poll from the online dating site Swoon, one in 10 gals have asked their guy to tie the knot, because they were fed up with waiting for him to do it himself. Gah!

Help: Am I Becoming A Bridezilla?

I'm getting married in August and have been planning the wedding for over a year, so the date has been set for a while now. My brother—my only sibling—got engaged last weekend. I love him and his fiancée, but I was very upset when I found out today that they are planning to get married a mere six weeks before I do.

Kim Kardashian, I'm Worried About You

Dear Kim, You don't know me and I don't know you, but I felt compelled to write you this letter. I am a marriage therapist, and though you haven't asked for my input, I'd like to give it to you as a wedding gift. There's been a lot of buzz about your wedding. Kudos to you on both counts, by the way: one, from the glimpses I got flipping through the channels past ET and walking my cart through the grocery store, it looked beautiful. Of course with several million dollars worth of wedding contributions, it would be hard to screw that up!
