I am moved to do more than simply help repair a problem; instead my motivation is in supporting the positive growth essential for a life of meaning.  Grief and bereavement is a specialty, so I can assist you with difficult feelings from the death of a loved one, handling chronic illness, infertility, pregnancy loss, or divorce.

My secondary specialty is in helping couples stop unhealthy fighting habits and develop new communication tools with emotionally focused couple’s therapy. I studied my Master of Science in mental health counseling and a certification in marriage and family therapy from Capella University. I have broad experience working with teens, adults, couples, & families at a local agency for two years with many types of client issues ranging from anxiety to schizophrenia. Because of this vast knowledge, I develop individual interventions by looking for each client’s unique potential for growth.  At A Place for Me Counseling in Atlanta, GA  I work under the direction of Erlese Caruth, LPC NCC and supervision of Don Durkee, LPC NCC CPCS.
