About Kate Chorley

Kate Chorley is a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist, life coach & marriage counsellor and has been practicing professionally since 2004. She has worked predominately in private practice and also in a variety of community service settings. Kate holds a professional membership with the Professional Association in the Counselling and Psychotherapy Field in Australia (PACFA).

Kate’s primary role is to assist her client to raise their self-awareness and that of the world around them. From this state of being they are more empowered with knowledge and understanding of the choices they can make that will best serve them. She uses a range of therapeutic counselling techniques such as Person Centered, Solution Focused, Gestalt and Narrative Therapy. She also supports her clients to connect more deeply with their body through felt sense to more fully understand what is true for them beyond ideals and beliefs of the mind.

Kate has supported her clients to successfully address issues such as addictions, disordered eating, depression, anxiety, childhood issues, self-esteem, self confidence and relationship issues. Kate possesses an open and straight-forward approach yet is highly sensitive and responsive to her client’s needs. She became interested in supporting others after a period of struggling with her own demons and emotional issues. Kate found that through this time the most difficult aspect was the lack of understanding around her own feelings and not knowing where to find the right support. This created feelings of isolation and hopelessness which were very difficult to live with. Now fully recovered Kate shares an insiders understanding of emotional distress and offers true support and felt understanding coupled with professional education, training and experience to provide her clients with a well rounded, therapeutic experience.

In 2010 Kate began studying the gentle art of Esoteric Healing with Serge Benhayon of Universal Medicine"It was here that I began to truly self-heal, by making new, supportive lifestyle choices, I experienced profound personal transformation as a result. I now enjoy sharing all that has been revealed to me through my own ongoing journey of self-discovery and self-healing with my clients."  For my information please go to Unimed Living.
