A few favorites from our Break Up With Your Ex contest. Can you do better?
Everyone has a reason to break up with their ex. Sometimes, it's because he's gay and it's definitely time to move on. Othertimes, it's because no matter who you're currently with, your old love is still preventing you from moving on. From now until Feb. 12, we're holding a contest where we are asking you to tell us, in 10 words or less, why you need to break up with your ex. Here are 12 of our favorite entries we've recieved so far.
How can you begin the new year with a clean slate and a fresh vision of the future?
There is nothing like the first day of a new year. This is the time to begin a clean slate with which to create something new. It is the perfect occasion to take some time for reflection and introspection. It's time to let go of the past year and make a vision for the year ahead.
Write about your worst present ever and you could win a $5 Starbucks gift card.
I was 16 and on my Christmas list I had written: a necklace, earrings and the Mulan soundtrack. (Yes, I was awkward at 16.) Here is what I got: A CD player, the Mulan soundtrack and a Barbie. My mom told me it would be my last Barbie. My eye roll was so huge, it was almost audible. And despite the fact that I got a soap making kit when I was 15, that Barbie is the worst present I have ever recieved.

Taylor's making headlines with new single "Sparks Fly," but can she match the classic author?
The pop star is taking her lovelorn anthems—including her new single "Sparks Fly"—across the country in one of the biggest tours this summer, but her lyrics seem to have gotten a little help from a literary predecessor. Can you guess which lines are by the young songstress and which were penned by the "Pride and Prejudice" author?
When I was a little girl, I dreamed about how I was going to meet the guy of my dreams. Listen up because this one is a doosey. See, I had dreams of being an actress slash singer slash writer slash director slash producer slash president of the screen actor's guild. My husband? He was going to be the star in one of the many many movies I was going to write, direct, produce, and star in. At first, we were going to hate each other, but then we would fall head over heels and marry four months later. All of this was going to happen before the age of 21.
