The Broadroom is a new web series from Sex and The City creator, Candace Bushnell.
Are you a fan of Sex and The City? Do you have a career? Then you may like The Broadroom, the new web series from Candace Bushnell—she of SATC, Lipstick Jungle and other fun depictions of modern woman. The show stars Jennie Garth and Jennifer Esposito, and takes a humorous look at five women juggling career and personal life.
As we all know, relationships and work inevitably influence each other—in the first episode one woman describes herself as a cougar, another wonders if it was weird that her husband keeps sending her pictures of her cat and a third bemoans her … Read More

After twenty-seven years full of trust, honesty, and passion, Melissa knew it was time to walk away from her longest standing relationship. So early in July, this spawn of the Carrie Bradshaw phenomenon put down her pen and severed ties with her diary-writing habit. And who can blame her? A long-term relationship with a 93-volume collection of notebooks would surely give me writers' cramp. Perhaps Melissa felt tied down. Needed space. Was just not that into … Read More
Love Letter Book Is Still 'TKTK', As We Say in the Biz
Product placement, you wily devil! The Sex and the City movie succumbed to your charms: at the very least, we noticed the Bluefly.com bag, the Louis Vuitton handbag, Starbucks at least twice, and that long extended orgasm over both Vogue magazine and Vivienne Westwood bridal gowns. Clearly you got into our head, because we just assumed that romantic book of love letters that Carrie reads to Mr. Big in bed was, you know, an actual book.

Tee hee." We agree that it is a little silly to identify with a fictional character but it's human nature. Associating with certain archetypes is something that we've done since the beginning of time, hence pantheons of gods known … Read More
Guys do not need to know if Carrie marries Big.
We took an informal poll (by "informal" we mean the guys in the office) to glean what men think of the SATC phenomenon that will sweep the country tonight as the box office opens for Carrie et al. Turns out, more than general apathy about the she-power that is Sex and the City, these men can't run fast or far enough from it.
We played a quick word-association game with the guys. Here are their gut reactions to the pillars of SATC:
Cosmopolitan: A green martini.
Mr. Big: Those Mr. Men books/cartoons. (I have kids, okay?)
Miranda: Nails on a … Read More
