Ever forget why you walked into a room? Discover how to use memory blips to your advantage.
You are upstairs in your bedroom working on a project of sorts, when you realize that you need a knife to continue with your task. So you go downstairs to the kitchen to get a knife and the moment you arrive, you completely forget why you are in the kitchen and what you needed to get. Does that ever happen to you? You are on a mission and suddenly the mission vanishes from your memory. It takes a few minutes to remember what your goal was and what you intended to do. Apparently, this sudden and momentary memory loss is called the "Doorway Effect."
Science has discovered that the mere mention of a woman's name can make a man dumber.
It's no secret that the male gender is a bunch of bumbling idiots when it comes to us ladies. Look at us! Our hips, our breasts, the way we smell, the softness of skin (which is completely natural and in no way attributed to mounds of moisturizer) and of course, just the fact that we are the fairer (read: superior) of the genders — we're the complete package.
Is it really mind reading or just a simple pattern of affection?
It always seems like one person wants their partner to have the ability to read their mind. This is what they tell me in my office : "He should KNOW what I like/want/need without me having to tell him. If I have to tell him what I want, well, then it doesn't mean as much when he gives it to me."
The funny thing is that some couples seem to be very good at mind reading. But are they really?
Having a more positive state of mind can keep out the negative emotions that ruin your days!
Every once in a while, I like to do a quick quasi-experiment with my psychology classes. I hand out slips of paper to everyone in the class. It appears (to the students) that all of these papers are the same, although they in fact are quite different. Half of the class has just received a slip asking them to name the three best events that happened to them over the past week. The other half of the class receives a paper that asks them to list the three worst events that happened to them during the past week.
It turns out men think about sex as many times a day as they think about food.
How often would you say you think about sex? For me, depending on what's going on in my day, it can range anywhere from five to 10 times. Okay, on really slow days, maybe 15 tops. I think. Sometimes it's more... It turns out that, despite common stereotypes, men don't think about sex all the time — just a lot.

Feel connected to those who support us from the other side, other realms or even alternate universes
Regardless of their personal belief systems (spiritual focus, formalized religion, or a combination thereof), people tend to like the comfort of feeling connected to those beings that support us from the other side, whether we believe "the other side" to be an alternate universe, a heavenly realm, etc. One reason people find this so comforting is that they like knowing that something greater than themselves is available for them from which they can seek or receive guidance and clarity.
