Thousands of people ran the New York City Marathon yesterday, and all kinds of characters crossed the finish line, including Elvis Presley, Captain America, Batgirl, a chicken... and newlyweds Mary and Raymond Donaldson!

They say it is better to give than to receive. When 'they' means real-live scientists, it must be true! A recent study gathered 150 women and 155 men and asked them to rank the attractiveness of various people's dating profiles. Profiles that revealed volunteer activities, altruism and all-around generosity were ranked as more attractive than neutral and non-generous-seeming people.

Lack of sex can be the result of anything. Perhaps the cruel planets have aligned in such a way that your sexiness has become astrologically veiled. Or you've decided everyone you found tasty in the past is Satan-spawn and you're doing your vengeful part by not even allowing eye contact by possible suitors, let alone roaming hands. Ick. Whatever the reason, it doesn't matter. But we're here to tell you: ENJOY. Similar to a bad case of the flu or a never-ending winter, soon the clouds will part, the sun will shine, and you'll be back to dodging phone calls and figuring out creative ways to break-up it off again. Actor, comedian, husband of a fine lady, Ryan Reynolds has it all figured out. In addition to his Hollywoodly duties, he recently completed the NY Marathon for Parkinson's. And because of his work on Parkinson's he got to be buds with Michael J. Fox. And Fox even gave him some somewhat misleading relationship advice. It's good to be Ryan Reynolds.
Team In Training or "TNT", a nationwide running, biking and triathlon group that raises money to fight leukemia and lymphoma, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Several members of TNT's North Texas chapter will soon be sharing anniversaries, too. The Dallas Morning News yesterday featured four TNT couples who met while training for marathons, half-marathons or hundred-mile bike rides, all in the name of kicking cancer to the curb.
