lonely
Good news, girls: Disheveled vampire swears he's single and looking.
Despite recent reports that he is totally all up in Kristen Stewart's lady business, Robert "I Don't Want to Accidentally Wash the Sparkles Off" Pattinson claims he's single, and now he's bemoaning his lonely, empty, coitus-free life. "I don't have a girlfriend," he whined piteously to Britain's Daily Mirror. "I don't know why."
We have a theory! Most normal, well-adjusted, non-stalkery ladies don't like it when their special gentleman friend is chased by a platoon of puffy-painted Twimoms who've scratched their necks raw. I mean, that's just a personal decision every woman needs to make for … Read More

In response to "I Was A Lonely Newlywed" user jnj1106 gives us this nugget of advice:I know it's hard to feel alone, but I believe that the point of
marriage is to better enrich eachothers lives, and support eachother's
ambitions and goals...which may in turn lead to some lonely nights
while they are attaining them. I am married to an active duty Marine,
so I completely understand what it feels like to literally be alone in
a random state for months on end without seeing my husband, and
sometimes without speaking to him due to his job. We have been together
for 10 years, and … Read More
Men fix cars, figure out credit card bills and hook up the TV. Is it sexist to want a guy for that?
When I was in college I bought my first car. The first car I actually owned was a hand-me-down from my parents (a 1988 Nissan Stanza to be exact, not exactly a pimp ride), but it’s life ended my senior year and I needed a replacement. At the time I was in a bit of an extended fight with my dad and we weren’t speaking at all. So when it came time to buy my car, I had to rely on my limited knowledge of automobiles in order to get the best deal on a used car that would … Read More
Alone under the mistletoe? Don't sweat it—single gals can have a sweet, sexy holiday, too!
The December holidays are a time of romance and sex, right? Whimsical jewelry commercials, love-themed Christmas songs and invitations on pretty paper to parties for "you and a guest" all add up to a magical time of year… except if you're single.
"Yes, I'm single this holiday," says Marie, a nurse living in Albany, New York. "I'm looking, but I am also just out of a relationship. I've been through a lot of hard times with my ex and the holidays tend to be when you miss that significant other." Marie has recently met a new guy, but the timing … Read More
With Frank away for four days Audrey ponders being home alone.
Well, so Frank left Sunday morning for a four-day business trip to San Francisco. Which is great for him, I mean, San Francisco is awesome. I’d love a free trip there. It’s just weird because that’s kind of almost the longest Frank and I have gone being apart, pretty much since we met. Probably a Christmas or Thanksgiving trip has topped it, but at least then we were both home visiting family, not one person left alone in a two-person apartment.
And I realize that is completely vomit-inducing to be like “Oh we’ve … Read More
A glimpse into the lives of men in relationships with life-like dolls.
Thanks to our blogger friend, FunkyBrownChick, we get to share the following piece of potentially disturbing material with you.
Where "Lars and The Real Girl" -- a film starring Ryan Gosling as a socially awkward man who falls for a life-size female doll but ultimately settles with a real-life woman -- was touching, the men featured in "Guys And Dolls" -- a documentary about real-life men living with one or more rubber, life-like dolls -- seem just plain touched.
The profiled owners see themselves as unable to score the kind of woman that the California-based dolls are … Read More
