We still don't believe in the preternatural ability to discern someone's sexuality.
The dang Dutch are at it again. After terrorizing us with wooden shoes and windmills for what feels like decades, they then allowed their name to be associated with crummy stuff like Von Dutch hats and Dutch ovens (not the thick-walled cooking vessel). And now they're trying to convince us that "gaydar" exists. But the study has many holes in it, and it seems as if a few too many assumptions are being made.
Harry Potter "had experience with homosexuality" and says anti-gayness is "animal" and "disgusting."
Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe "had experience with homosexuality" and says anti-gayness is "animal" and "disgusting." YourTango's Celebrity Love blog has the story.
A blog on The Daily Beast infers that something truly foul is afoot in Bon Temps.
A blog on the awesome site The Daily Beast, thinks that the vampire saga True Blood is homophobic. The assumption is that there is too much overlap between the series' vampires and stereotypical criticism of homosexual Americans. The analysis is a bit too focused and over-states the case.
I'm so naive...I thought Alanis would play a song.
Instead, I cringed through this smarmy "Alanis Morrisette Discusses Her Lesbian Days With Howard Stern" clip on Gawker. Howard hammers on about Alanis' hookups with women and tries to box her into easy-for-straight-folks-to-understand stereotypes, like when he asks, "What type of women were you attracted to? Ultra-femme? Or butch?" Alanis just laughs at him.
