Uneasiness is an inevitable part of life, but constant fretting can prevent you from feeling satisfied. Head in the right direction with these simple steps toward a happy, fulfilling life.
The first diet I went on (keyword "first" out of many) was calorie counting with Weight Watchers(R). They don't like to use the word "diet", but let's face it, they are giving you numerical parameters to follow. When calorie counting got such a bad rap in the 90s, because it really didn't solve our problems long term, they switched over to points, which was a fancy name for the grouping of calories. Don't get me wrong. Weight Watchers(R) has helped many women.
These are my top wellness steps borrowed from what the books say and what I’ve learned from my clients. If you want to improve your wellness, you may have to eat differently, change your exercise program, or develop a new sleep plan. You have to be focused. There may be other behaviors you have to look at, like how much time you work, relax and spend with friends. You can use these steps with any goal you’re working on.

You wish your sweetheart took better care of themselves and weren’t so overweight, but whenever you try to help, it backfires. You’ve tried friendly suggestions, cooked up healthy meals, kept cookies and ice cream out of the house, and resisted saying too much. Do YOU have all the tools you need in hand or within your reach to magnetize your soulmate or achieve any other goal, but are just getting nowhere, wearing yourself out and dating the same person over and over in a different body? Keep reading… The first step to making it easier is to set your steering wheel gently in the right direction. What do I mean by that?
Sometimes it gets tough and you’re not so “into it” for awhile. Sometimes it’s not so friggin’ easy and is downright scary and your gremlin voice is tearing at your heart and soul telling you that you SHOULD have stayed with that man last year who was good enough or maybe you SHOULD have given that last boyfriend one more chance after he lied to you because now you’re getting old and lonely and you’ll never find anyone! Yep, that old b***h upstairs can be working on you overtime.
Do these thoughts come up for you (or some version of them)? - I should lose weight and have a perfectly fit and toned body before I attract my beloved into my life. - I should be more financially stable or have a certain level of income before I manifest my soulmate - I should just have myself more together before he shows up.
You want to look beautiful for your wedding or some other event, and you want a guarantee of losing a certain number of pounds. The truth is, the only way to achieve that is by doing an extreme diet that severely cuts your calories and having something help you to maintain that diet to reach your goal. Which is why the feeding tube diet has its advocates and Jessica Schnaider chose it for herself. But is it – or any other medic
By Tara Weng, GalTime Editor Aspirin, a widely used weapon against heart attacks, might also play a role in cancer prevention, according to three new British studies. "We have now found that after taking aspirin for three or four years there starts to be a reduction in the number of people with the spread of cancers, so it seems as well as preventing the long-term development of cancers, there is good evidence now that it is preventing the spread of canc
By: Malia Karlinsky, Love and Sex Editor from GalTime. “The relationship between what you eat and your sex life is like the fuel you put into a car,” says nutritionist Elizabeth Somer. “Pump the nutritional equivalent of sawdust into your body and you are more likely to feel like a jalopy than a race car. Put high-octane foods into that system, rev it up with a bit of exercise and you will pump up your thrill quotient and reconnect with the Maserati within.”
Not one of those women who hit the stairmaster seven days a week? Still looking to get in shape, but hate the trudge to the nearest gym? What Your Sex Life Can Tell You About Your Health In this video, YourTango expert and wellness coach, Nicole Burley, has just the thing to get you off the couch, on the cardio equipment, and into a healthier lifestyle. One of the biggest issues that people face when they are trying to adopt a healthier lifestyle is the simple fact that they have a life. Often that life includes parties, going out to eat, having a couple of drinks. Ya know, all pretty standard. My clients always want to know how to navigate the treacherous waters of the restaurant menu so I’ve compiled some of my top tips on the matter.
It started in 2007, when Clarion Health (Indianapolis) and Scotts (Ohio) began charging employees for unhealthy habits, particularly smoking. Macy’s is the latest to start doing the same, along with PepsiCo, Union Pacific and Gannett. This isn’t just controversial or potentially illegal; it is the worst way to get people to change how they take care of themselves. While on the one hand it does cost less to employ people that choose healthier lifestyles than those that don’t.
When people call me, one of the things they say they struggle with the most is staying motivated. They liked how good it felt to eat better, exercise and get enough rest and water, but they couldn’t get themselves to stick with these healthier behaviors. Jennifer was one of them. She couldn’t understand why she would quit her walks and Zumba classes, since she enjoyed them when she went. And she actually liked vegetables and whole foods more than junk food, yet she never stuck with them.
