Mr. Nice Guy (aka, Jake Pavelka) gets the love he deserves by being the next Bachelor.
Oh, we saw it coming a million miles away. Commercial pilot Jake Pavelka has been crowned the latest Bachelor, as ABC announced on Tuesday night's Dancing With the Stars.
The 31-year-old Texan will pick and choose from dozens of hopeful ladies in The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love (gag!), which is set to air in January 2010.
You probably remember Jake. It's hard to forget his c@#k-block move against Wes, the obnoxious country singer. After Jake had been eliminated, he showed up at Jillian's door to warn her of Wes’s devious ways—namely, the fact that he came on the … Read More
"I Married A Stranger" hopes to discredit the idea that seeing is believing.
We believe in love at first sight but the theory doesn't work quite as well if you take vision out of the equation.
Imagine falling for someone you've barely met let alone never laid eyes on? This is not the premise for a faceless Facebook application. It's the new Fox reality television show titled I Married a Stranger.
"Production has already been completed on the pilot, which centers on a woman who is in her late 30s and is eager to get hitched," reports Variety. "A group of friends and family are presented with five eligible men, … Read More
There's no such thing as sloppy seconds when the menu is this hot.
Jillian Harris, the star of this season's The Bachelorette, has not one but 30 eligible bachelors at her fingertips. In the past, Bachelorettes have had their pick of only 25 but blame it on a bad economy, there's more available men to go around!
We wish Jillian all the luck in the world as she attempts to turn reality television into romance. Where she fails, we're sure to find our next bachelor for season 15 of ABC's other hit, The Bachelor. Or perhaps there's the next Top Chef contestant in the mix. Stranger things have … Read More
Man suffering from disease causing thick, black facial hair gets a dating show. Sounds hot.
We sort of vaguely remember the pop cultural phenom known as 'The Wolfboy.' Wolfboy is Larry Ramos Gomez, a 31-year-old man suffering from hypertrichosis, a disorder which causes thick, black hair to cover one's face.
He took the public by storm a few years back, appearing on The Maury Povich Show, Ripley's Believe It Or Not and a variety of news programs. Before then he was peddling his disease in Mexican circuses.
So, yeah, Gomez isn't exactly what we would call shy. But is there a market for him on the dating show circuit of all places? The breeding … Read More

You know Demi. Now, prepare to meet Stacey. She's the blonde bombshell who's star of the new show (another on the long list dreamed up by creator of The Bachelor). The single mother of four from Arizona is on a mission to shatter what she sees as a double standard … Read More
Contestants won't have to trim any fat to vie for love on this new dating show.
Brace yourselves. There's a new dating show lining up in the reality-series cue. It's Biggest Loser meets The Bachelor and you may soon find it on FOX, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The network has linked arms with the producer behind "The Bachelor" fame, Mike Fleiss, to flesh out the concept.
Fittingly called More To Love, the show will aim to encourage everyday women, who can't squeeze into size-zero skinny jeans (really, whoever thought of a size that screams you-are-nothing-and-don't-exist anyway?), to vie for love from one lucky, pleasantly plump man said to look like "Kevin James," reports … Read More
Oh, the horror!
Man, oh man. You know it's bad when you'd rather be watching E!'s The Soup mock reality show women. In this case, Bravo's Date My Ex was that kind of second-hand embarrassment you just can't stand to watch, your finger poised on the "last" button on the remote should it get too unbearable.
A little backstory: Slade and Jo were originally cast filmed on The Real Housewives of Orange County. I know little about this show. I do know that Jo and Slade were engaged, and she got all sorts of royal treatment. Slade appears to have gobs of … Read More
White man searches for African American beauty
VH1 will begin production on the first interracial dating show, airing in the fall of 2008, says EURweb.com. Now, if you watch far too much television (like us), you'll probably say, What about Flavor of Love? Girls of every race, creed, and color fawn over Flav one season after the next.
This, however, is the first program dedicated to finding a Caucasian man his dream wife: an African American woman. Translation: This is the first of these reality dating shows to select contestants based on, first and foremost, race. Said white man, Tobias White, says he's … Read More

In the hormone-loaded, rejection-ridden world of reality dating shows, there are many variations on the old boy-meets-girl/girl-meets-boy scenario:
Dashing boy meets lots of girls -- "The Bachelor." Scorned girl meets lots of boys -- "I Love New York." Bisexual girl meets 10 boys and 10 girls -- "A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila."
And now, transgender girl meets eight boys who know, from the get-go, that their would-be lover was not always a lady -- "Transamerican Love Story."
Tango’s Take
Whew. Thank goodness that the guys on the show know that the lady is a post-op transgender. We can … Read More
