How many women cringe when they hear the word Cougar? Is it always a bad thing?
How many women over the age of thirty-five “cringe” when they hear the word Cougar? For some reason women have acquired this title over the last 15 years without the male population receiving a similar trademark appellation. Why is that?
Men who have “serial sex partners” have always been viewed as studs or held in high esteem by their male peers. Women call them players. (Doesn’t that sound all warm & fuzzy?) What has transpired that women now have their own “handle” and is it actually a good thing?
Maybe he should worry, but Arquette doesn't seem concerned about his ex's recent getaway.
Cougar Town star Courteney Cox enjoyed a little bit of seaside fun in St. Barts with costar Josh Hopkins and some friends recently, and while we're sure most exes would be less-than-thrilled to hear something like this, David Arquette's feathers aren't the least bit ruffled.
Cox and her rumored flame hit the beach for a little getaway with the actress' daughter, Coco.
Might a love triangle be heating up the set of Cougar Town? Courteney Cox was caught frolicking in the Caribbean sun with her co-star, Josh Hopkins, on Tuesday. Although the two have spent time in tropical locations for the series, Cox's publicist said this little getaway was all about relaxation with no work involved.
A new online dating survey found Nebraska and South Dakota have high numbers of cougars.
Heads up, Courtney Cox. SpeedDate.com has revealed the top two US states where women are most likely to seek out young men, a la the cougar phenomenon: Nebraska and North Dakota.
Google, Bill Lawrence and health problems could spell the end of the cougar era.
The day of the cougar had just arrived, and already it's on shaky legs… or at least undergoing an evolution. As you likely know, a cougar is a woman approaching her middle years who dates a man at least ten years her junior. Many people have found the term "cougar" offensive, and have cited an immensely unfair double standard as older dudes (with money) seem to have their pick of the litter when it comes to mates. And now, Bill Lawrence says Cougar Town may change titles, Google won't advertise with various cougar sites and some health issues have arisen with older women dating younger men.
Our writer gives us the inside story on the cougars and cubs at the national convention.
When Courteney Cox is banking her post-Friends career on a show titled Cougar Town, you know the trend of older women dating younger men has reached its tipping point. The term cougar isn't just a punchline anymore. And why should it be? As Demi Moore might say, "what's wrong with women asserting their sexual needs and romantic desires with younger partners?"
Forgetting dating rules. Passing out after your wedding. And changing your name.
Is the word "cougar" too derogatory to keep using? What happens when we throw out the dating rules? Sometimes brides get drunk and wake up in a crate of vodka. Some lube news (finally). Some women think you should have to change your name once married. The cascading effect of talking sexy on Saudi TV is felt by a local station. Some men prefer to marry pillows, get over it.
We think it's time to retire "cougar" from our cultural vernacular.
You know, when we first heard that Courteney Cox had signed on to play a 40-year-old divorcée in ABC's Cougar Town we thought: "Hm. OK. Sounds a bit tired and generic, but nothing can top that mess Dirt."
In case you were reading War and Peace, Dirt was a horrendously written piece of garbage on FX where Cox tramps around like a young, virile Miranda Priestly working at a gossip magazine in L.A. Pretty people in paradise working at a glossy about pretty people in paradise. It sounds impossible to do, but somehow FX found a way to make it unwatchable even on mute.
We had the pleasure of viewing a few teaser clips of Cougar Town and unfortunately it appears Courteney has signed onto another lemon. Poor Courteney, desperately in search of another Monica-in-the-rough and unable to find it.
