Although a lot of celebrities like to talk (and exaggerate) about their sexuality for shock value, apparently, Christina Aguilera was being candid and truthful when she told Out Magazine back in May that "My husband knows that I get into girls. I think it’s fun to be open and play." In fact, according to RadarOnline, Christina and husband Jordan Bratman, whom she just filed for divorce from, had an open marriage, and Christina often liked to bring women home that she picked up at clubs while they were out together! “I was at The Abbey [a gay bar in LA] one night when Christina’s bodyguard approached me,” claimed an anonymous woman to RadarOnline. “He said, ‘My boss would really like you’ and pointed over to Christina.”
Compared to the blow-by-blow reporting about Courteney Cox and David Arquette's split this week, Christina Aguilera's separation from her husband Jordan Bratman has been relatively low-key. (Then again, Jordan was wise enough not to talk to Howard Stern in graphic detail about the end of his marriage, unlike a certain Mr. Arquette.) However, although there were no reports of infidelity like there were in the Arquette's break-up, X17 is reporting that Christina has already moved on from the split and is dating Lindsay Lohan's ex, Samantha Ronson! The two have supposedly been friends for a while, but, after going to Cabo to celebrate Nicole Ritchie's bachelorette party, the women "have been inseparable."
Oh, the things we do for love! Hugh Hefner's one-time girlfriend, Kendra Wilkinson, who left the Playboy Mansion to marry football giant (as in gigantic, huge, seriously tall), Hank Baskett and start a family, is apparently fed up with married life. The buxom blond (along with the camera crew for her reality TV show) even moved with Baskett, as he bounced around from the Minnesota Vikings to the Indianapolis Colts to the Philadelphia Eagles and back to Minnesota. Sheesh! That's a whole lot of moving around—we're exhausted just thinking about it!
Did she or did she not? That's the question on the tip of every celebrity gossip reader's tongue this week. Long before it was confirmed that Courteney Cox and David Arquette were splitting up, there were rumors that 46-year-old Courteney had found a raft-boat away from the sinking ship that was her marriage to David Arquette and was cheating on him with her Cougar Town co-star, Brian Van Holt. And although David has repeatedly denied that infidelity (on either side) had anything to do with the bust-up of their 11-year-marriage, he did admit in an interview with Howard Stern that it was possible that Courteney may have had an "emotional affair" with Brian. However, according to one insider, Courteney definitely feels emotions for Brian - one in particular, in fact - love!
If two young celebrities go out on a date but keep enough distance from each other so that people don't think that it's a date...Is it still a date? That's what we'd like to know. Especially after E! Online and other sources are reporting that Gossip Girl's Blake Lively hit up Disneyland for some ice cream recently with heartthrob Ryan Gosling at 12:30 in the morning.
What is going on in Celebrityland? First, Ben Harper surprised Laura Dern out of nowhere with divorce papers last week, even though there were reports that the two had been intimate as recently as 7 days ago! Next, their friends and frequent double date partners, David Arquette and Courteney Cox announced yesterday that they have separated, amid rumors that both of them have cheated and/or that they had an open marriage. And, now, Christina Aguilera, whom we lauded only a few weeks ago for having, surprisingly, surpassed both Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson to be the only '90s pop star to end up in a stable marriage, has also reportedly split from Jordan Bratman, her husband of 5 years. "Yes, they are separated," said a source to People Magazine. "Right now, they're just trying to figure things out. There are no divorce proceedings at this point."
It sure didn't take long for Rumer Willis to get over her ex-boyfriend, Micah Alberti. Although Rumer was "rumored" (sorry, we couldn't help ourselves!) to be devastated after Alberti dumped her (the duo had been together for two years), Bruce and Demi's daughter quickly recovered. In fact, it looks like Rumer has been taking cues from her mother, judging by her latest arm candy.
Toss another flower onto the casket of Courteney Cox and David Arquette's marriage because, according to Life & Style, it's dead. After several months of rumors that they were on the rocks, the magazine has confirmed the couple has separated after 11 years of marriage and one daughter, 6 year-old Coco Arquette. “We have agreed to a trial separation that dates back for some time. The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage. We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply. As we go through this process, we are determined to use kindness and understanding to get through this together. We are comfortable with the boundaries that we have established for each other during this separation and we hope that our friends, family, fans and the media also show us respect, dignity, understanding and love at this time as well," the couple said in a statement.
Did you ever have a nice, but somewhat average-looking, friend that started dating a really hot guy and then freaked out because she didn't think that she was good-looking enough to go out with him and overcompensated by exercising 8 hours a day and eating nothing but parsley? Well, if you happened to live in New York and hang out with television celebrities, Jason Sudeikis could be that friend. We think someone should tell the 35-year-old SNL actor that he looks totally fine in photographs because, according to US Magazine, Jason has been insisting to friends that he looks "puffy" standing next to his girlfriend of 3+ months, January Jones, on the read carpet and, consequently, has gone on a liquid juice diet, in hopes of slimming down and making himself look more like a Brad Pitt-style leading man.
There was so much going on in the world of celebrity hook-ups, break-ups, and make-ups this week that we could hardly keep up. So if you're craving more juicy tidbits from the love lives of the rich and famous, here's enough to tide you over for the weekend.
Neil Patrick Harris may be eagerly counting down the days until he becomes a first time dad, but, for his partner David Burtka, the anticipation of the arrival of their twins, who will be born to a surrogate mother, may be of the déjà vu variety. According to Star Magazine, David is already a dad to 10-year-old twins, Flynn and Javin, who live with their other dad and David's ex, film producer Lane Janger. The couple had the twins via a surrogate mother in 2000, but broke-up in 2004, and, now, claims the magazine, David rarely ever sees the kids, even though they all live in LA.
Since splitting with long-time boyfriend Stuart Townsend, whom she had a 9-year-relationship with, Charlize Theron has been seen out on the town with a few men, most notably with Keanu Reeves. However, despite the gossip, Charlize and Keanu are said to be just old friends, and the 35-year-old actress is actually dating another guy, fellow thespian Eric Thal.
Post-baby sex changes things between a couple. What was once a carefree act enjoyed by two people has now been reframed in the context of procreation. And for the woman, hormone levels may be out of whack and her body may still be in recovery. Sex evolves, and it takes some getting used to... even if you're a Kardashian. Wait, of course if you're a Kardashian. See exhibit Kourtney & Scott:
Uh, oh! It looks like Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore aren't the only ones in the family to be having love life problems. Demi's eldest daughter, 22-year-old Rumer Willis, is reported to have broken up with her boyfriend of 2 years, Micah Alberti, 26. According to Life & Style, Micah, a model and soap opera actor, was the one who did the dumping, leaving Rumer "very upset."
Rumors have been circulating recently that Rachel McAdams is totally over her ex, Josh Lucas and is dating Welsh actor, Michael Sheen. And now it looks like the two are officially an item after the couple was photographed holding hands and acting all cute. (We all know that once the paparazzi catch you canoodling on camera, you're not only official, but you'll probably be engaged and preggers in a week.)
Donnie Wahlberg, best known for being Mark Wahlberg's older brother and formerly one-fifth of the New Kids on the Block, can officially hit up a singles bar and call himself an unattached man. The 41-year-old actor and singer finalized his divorce from ex-wife Kim Fey this week in LA.
Are we the only ones starting to suspect that Jenny McCarthy was the one who started those rumors that she was getting back together with Jim Carrey? Because she has done nothing but talk about her ex and how she dumped him while she promotes her new book, Love, Lust & Faking It: The Naked Truth About Sex, Lies and True Romance.
