Researchers from La Trobe University in Australia are seeking to correlate a link between a woman’s self-esteem and body image and her partner’s opinions.
Basically, researchers are going to explore how couples discuss the woman’s appearance and achievements and how she feels about herself. Good enough. There are two theories on this: 1) Women are happiest when they get positive feedback irrespective of how they view things. 2) Women prefer having their own beliefs validated even if theses beliefs are negative.
