The experts are buzzing about the kids and their sloppy sex morals again. What does it all mean?
NPR.com published an article a few days ago titled, "Sex Without Intimacy: No Dating, No Relationships" and as the headline suggests, it's another one of these "think pieces" where we're all supposed to analyze whether or not stable, long-term, monogamous relationships are on the way out due to our degenerate bed-hopping. Sex Prevents ED
Those are our words and not theirs, but whenever we read one of these it's always the same thing: a.) kids are very into casual sex b.) nobody goes on traditional "dates" anymore c.) but what does … Read More
Marriage is not open, happiness abounds.
It's been speculated more than once that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are both gay, that they openly sleep with other people, and that the only reason they're together is so they can continue to get non-gay film roles. But it seems that Jada has had enough of the rumors. And in a new interview with National Public Radio, she addresses them head-on, stating: "I don't have an open marriage and no, we're not gay – and you don't trust that? Well then there's nothing that I really have to say to anybody about anything, because at the … Read More
Wonder how they will get laid now that they are middle class.
It was only a few weeks back that the New York Times introduced the world to the DABA Girls, and that the proletariat of the blogosphere nearly went ballistic. Well, gentle readers, it turns out that a lot can happen in a few weeks. NPR raised doubts about the story. Newsweek found out directly from the members that their website and … Read More

Cindy McCain's half-sister and the politics of half-siblings
In many families, brothers from different mothers (or fathers) never give a second thought to the "half" nature of their relationship.
Not so with Cindy McCain and half-sister Kathleen Hensley Portalski. The pair, daughters of Jim Hensley, founder of the beer company that Cindy oversees, sit on opposite sides of the political fence.
In an interview with US Weekly, Portalski voiced her support for Barack Obama, saying that she and her half-sister share different political viewpoints. Portalski, whose mother was Hensley's first wife, described Cindy as "standoffish" to the weekly. She also said the potential First Lady … Read More
Some young people see going condomless as "engagement 2.0."
Last week NPR aired a radio essay by youth commentator Pendarvis Harshaw calling sex without a condom "engagement 2.0." Harshaw said that for his generation, going bare shows "trust, commitment and the prospect of a shared future." Today Boinkology highlighted the heated debated this segment generated, both on the NPR comment board and other sites.
From the NPR comment board:
"That had to be one of the most horrifying things I have ever heard."
"Make one mistake, one strays from being faithful and now TWO of you have AIDS."
"NO! NO! NO! I'm a high school guidance counselor and God … Read More
