As you may know the big bosses in Hollyweird always anoint some film "THE VALENTINE'S DAY MOVIE." There's a captive audience of single women who need something to do that day and couples who can use a nice little rom-com. Last year it was Definitely, Maybe and it was surprisingly good. This year the crown belongs to Confessions Of A Shopaholic (with all due respect to the decidedly non-rom-coms Friday The 13th and The International). It could be good, but this guy is skeptical.

Isla Fisher postpones wedding, converting to Judaism.
New mommy and up-and-coming actress Isla Fisher has postponed her wedding to actor/comedian Sascha Baron Cohen. Now before you go getting your panties in a bunch, there's actually a good reason.
Isla, like many famous women before her, is converting to Judaism before she marries Cohen. Great, except she's also in the middle of shooting the highly anticipated (well, by fashionistas and chic lit fans at least) Confessions of a Shopaholic and doesn't have the time to devote herself to her Torah studies.
"Definitely, Maybe" is a solid date movie.
I took in the new flick Definitely, Maybe last Thursday. Not surprisingly, it was a popular place to be in Manhattan on Valentine's Day. Most of the prime-time showings were sold out (thankya now-concluded writer's strike). And judging by the fact that people were sitting on the floor (illegally) they probably could have added many more screens. The audience was a mix of girl-power trios and couples, as you might expect.
