Katherine Heigl and her husband of eighteen months, Josh Kelley, are adopting a baby girl from Korea, the actress announced Thursday. In a segment filmed for Ellen Degeneres's show, set to air Friday, Katherine said, "I wanted to tell everybody so you don't think I stole a Korean baby."

According to the LA Times, California's Supreme Court has voted 6 to 1 to uphold the controversial Proposition 8 addendum to California Law. The law narrows the definition of marriage to a single man and a single woman.
