David Beckham's Ellen chat reveals scoop on Victoria, boys and knickers; Posh reacts surprisingly.
If David Beckham's underwear, abdominals and superlative soccer record haven't already put a spell on you, then today's appearance to kick off Ellen's seventh season will. Celebrity Love: Top 10 British Celebrity Crushes
In typical charming and sheepish fashion Becks dished on life with Victoria and their three sons Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, 7 and Cruz, 4. When Ellen asked David if he's really as shy in front of the media as he claims to be, he said only when he's on the soccer field and with Victoria and the boys is he … Read More
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi say kids are "too big a responsibility."
While Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi explored the idea of having babies together, Ellen said in a recent interview that they very are content being dog moms, according to AOL Television via Starpulse.
This is the firmest not-the-mama stance the couple has taken since their wedding last August, since which their names have floated around the Hollywood baby rumor mill. "We have animals, and we love them," Ellen, 51, said. "We definitely thought about [having kids]... but it's just a huge responsibility, and I don't know that that's something we want to take on. We're very happily … Read More
Mary Kate. Jennifer Aniston. Angelina Jolie. Mags are reporting, but are any of them expecting?
We're not sure who started the bump-watching trend but it's become the go-to story during a slow news week. So, every time a celebrity walks the red carpet without her Spanx, or decides to have a piece of pie over Thanksgiving, you'll likely see her on the cover of your favorite tabloid. Here's a rundown of who is, who isn't and who might be pregnant.
Mary-Kate Olsen
The National Equirer is reporting that the ridiculously rich former child star is pregnant by her boyfriend, NY artist Nate Lowman. Unfortuneately for them, MK's rep told Us Weekly that the report … Read More
California's gay marriage ban threatens to undo thousands of recent unions.
With the passage of California's ban on gay marriage, parents around the state can rest assured that their children finally are safe. Or, so supporters of Proposition 8, which will adjust the state's definition of marriage to exclude same-sex couples, want them to think. For months before yesterday's vote, pro-ban messaging called on voters to "do it for the children."
From Protectmarriage.com, a site in support of the ban:
It protects our children from being taught in public schools that "same-sex marriage" is the same as traditional marriage, and prevents other consequences to Californians who will … Read More
No, CNN, Ellen and Portia Really Are Married.
Dear CNN,
Surely you must remember when gay marriage became legal in California--afterall, you covered it here and here.
So why did your coverage of the Ellen-Portia nuptials over the weekend read 'Ellen "marries" Portia,' in quotation marks? That implies the ladies weren't actually pronounced wife and wife--and possibly even that gay marriage isn't actually marriage.
Not cool, CNN. Not cool.
Sincerely,Protective Ellen Fan
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia di Rossi are set to wed.
Dancing. Drinking. Lesbians. Hollyweird. It's safe to say that Ellen Degeneres and Portia di Rossi's wedding this weekend could be the party of the year. Ellen (yeah, she's so gellin') was, to our knowledge, the first celebrity to announce her gay California nuptials after judges in the Golden State said it was cool (not cool like the cool thing to do more like it was acceptable).
And since that announcement she's had a few GOP (shorthand for Republican) stalwarts on her show, Ellen, and shamed them a bit about gay marriage. She asked "The Maverick," Read More
Tania Zaetta gets apology from Aussie Defence Department.
You may remember a week or so ago that there were some allegations that Australian entertainer Tania Zaetta may have expressed her love for country physically... with soldiers... in Afghanistan. Everyone appreciates patriotism, even vigorous, hot, sweaty patriotism, but evidently a warzone barracks or the back of an armored personnel carrier is not the appropriate place to express that national pride. That being said, according to The Herald Sun, the Australian Defence Department is issuing an official apology to Tania Zaetta over these unsubstantiated claims. Evidently, they had launched an investigation based on second or third-hand innuendo … Read More
A measure passes that will put California gay marriage ban to a vote.
Just when you thought it was safe for a dude to marry a dude in California. The Mercury News reports that a measure to ban gay marriage gained enough signatures to force a vote on the November ballot. Clearly, a lot of people are not fans of Ellen. Starting June 17th, homosexuals of the marrying type will get a chance to get married but if the ban passes in November there could be some confusion. You would think that the Gavin Newsom experiment in San Francisco would have cleared some things up. Somewhere, Gray Davis is … Read More
Ellen tries to borrow the Bush Crawford Ranch for her gay marriage.
The eponymous host of the talk show Ellen chatted it up with Jenna Hager (nee Jenna Bush) and Laura Bush. Last time when she was on the show, Jenna called up the President (George W. Bush) and he wished Ellen's audience a merry Christmas, though it sounded like he was napping. What did Ellen and Jenna and Laura have in store this time around?
Weird how Ellen Degeneres mentioned her marriage to Portia De Rossi, weird. She already asked John McCain to walk her down the aisle. And if this Crawford Ranch thing works … Read More
Ellen wants to hear what McCain has to say about gay marriage.
Ellen Degeneres, star of the sitcom Ellen and now host of the talk show Ellen, had John McCain on yesterday. In an effort to help her guests and viewers figure out who to vote for, she's trying to get all of the candidates on her couch for a little quality time. And the presumptive Republican candidate (though no one is actively running against him, he doesn't get to be the real candidate until the convention) stopped by to say this…
They got on really well. The gay marriage 'bombshell' was pretty tame. We were sort of expecting a little … Read More
