New study finds that women are just as funny as men. Eat your heart out, Christopher Hitchens.
I once dated a theater major who firmly believed women aren't as funny as men. I'd stomp my foot and declare that I was not only funny, but far funnier than he was. Every time the argument came up, he'd reference John Belushi, who despite his sexism was indeed a comedic genius, and how Belushi, "didn't think women writers were funny enough." This ridiculous "insight" came from his days on Saturday Night Live, days that included such other comedic geniuses as Gilda Radner.
After spending much of the summer apart, the funny castmates have broken up. Awkward!
It looks like another relationship for Saturday Night Live cast member Fred Armisen has bitten the dust, due to his intense travel and work schedule. 'People' is reporting that the 44-year-old comedian and his fellow SNL castmate Abby Elliott, 24, have broken up after a year of dating.
Fresh from divorcing Elisabeth Moss, Fred is now linked to Abby Elliott.
Earlier this week, we reported that Saturday Night Live's Fred Armisen had split from his wife of 10 months, Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss, and we speculated that perhaps it was the long distance aspect of their relationship that broke them up. Now, a few days later after word of his divorce broke, Life & Style is reporting that Fred has found a new girlfriend much closer to home (and work), his SNL co-star Abby Elliott.

It looks like January Jones isn’t the only single Mad Men star on set.
Elisabeth Moss, 27, who plays Peggy on the AMC drama, has reportedly split from her husband of 10 months, 42-year-old Fred Armisen of SNL fame.
“Fred and Elisabeth separated in May. Fred is currently in Portland, Ore. on the set of his new series Portlandia. Elisabeth is in LA focusing on her career and spending quiet time with friends,” said a source to Life & Style Magazine.
SNL's Horatio Sanz jokes that he is Rachel Dratch's baby daddy.
In news that could make even Debbie Downer smile, former Saturday Night Live cast member Rachel Dratch, 44, has announced that she is pregnant with her first child and due in September. However, she is keeping mum on who the father is.
Never one to miss a punch liner, SNL co-star Horatio Sanz took to his Twitter account recently to joke that he is Rachel's baby daddy.
"DNA test, then back in New York to tape Maury. Not cool Dratch!" he tweeted.
