Over the course of the last month, we collected 1,300 reader responses for an Astroglide-sponsored survey all about sex. We got glimpses into where, when and how our users are hooking up, and—from the results—compiled three major mistakes we all should avoid when it comes to sex.

You know how men are always thinking with their you know whats? And they do stupid things for love like spend money, fight really scary dudes and sometimes steal airplanes? Well, it turns out that the recklessness and derring-do may not originate from the nether regions after all. A study conducted jointly by the University of Chicago and Northwestern shows similar behavior between women with high testosterone and men: average men, and women with high testosterone were equally as likely to make risky choices with money. This could explain a number of things.
The newest study to surface in what we like to call, "No Way!" science is the age you lost your virginity might be genetic. Researchers at California State University think "sexual precociousness" is an innate personality trait, and that you may come from a long line of lost-it-at-18ers. Nancy Segal, the lead researcher in the study, admits that science will never be able to predict when one will lose their virginity by staring at cells on a microscope. Of course, it's much more complicated than guessing height or weight. Promiscuity and early sex, they note, can be pinned on a variety of environmental issues. After studying 48 pairs of twins separated at birth and 23 individual twins, researchers theorize genes explain a third of the reason why people lose their virginity at a certain age.
Social scientists at Florida State University say risk-taking is all part of the biological attraction game. Men are more likely to take risks in order to instinctively compete with one another. Horny men who had seen beautiful female faces took the most risks during games of blackjack leading scientists to think it spans all areas of life.
