LostinLove2012 -- Clarify, please: Are you both guys? Or are you a woman? Makes a huge difference...it would mean that the spectre of homosexualy is present. I am a older gay man, and I am in love with my best friend, who is younger. But he's also straight, married and a father. I think it wouldn't be accurate to say he is "in love" with me. He loves me, deeply -- but not the passionate way he loves his wife. But whether his love for her be passionate or not doesn't matter: as a married person, in a committed relationship, he is off limits to me. If I really love him, I am bound by that -- even more so because his concept of fidelity makes anyone other than his wife off limits to him. If I share "everything" with my best friend, that starts with respect for his moral life as well as his love life. Does this make sense?
