Published on June 7, 2009 by kc208

I have been married for 20 years and found out my husband had joined and escort site. he was making dates and having sex with these women. How do I forgive him?

ANSWERS

ME PERSONALLY I COULDNT FOR GIVE HIM. THE TRUST IS GONE. WHAT IS TO STOP HIM FROM DOING THIS AGAIN. MY ADVICE TO YOU IS GO GET TESTED.

Realize that he's trying to spice up his life. He's doing what he feels is right for him at this point in his life. Then, do what I did when my husband cheated: Divorce him!!!

If you really want to forgive him, I would suggest marriage counseling, separately, of course, so you can both be very honest in talking to your counselor. Your husband's willingness to do the work to repair the damage he's done, as well as look into the reasons behind the affair and how to prevent such a thing to ever happen again, would speak volumes about his commitment to you now.

Although . . . as awful as it sounds, I've often thought that the only way I COULD stay in a marriage where my husband had cheated on me would be to have a revenge affair so that he could feel what I felt--level the playing field so to speak, although I know it's wrong to think that way. It really wouldn't solve anything; it would only complicate matters further.

Bottom line: I would want a divorce if I knew my husband cheated on me. The marriage bond has already been broken in my estimation.

you don't ever get over it!! you may learn to live with it but it will never be forgotten. he's an asshole
