One thing that troubles me is general conversation, sometime when i am with my girlfriend it can go dry and we can not think of anything to talk about. what advice would you give to a troubled mind when talking about conversation in a relationship?

Regards, Jonty

pichow, Some people cannot stop talking and some people don't talk except when neccessary. But, people have to talk at some point. Expecially, when they are in a relationship. Communication is the key and can be done with non verbal cues.

It's up to the pair of you to decide how that outcome will be. I think you have to be interested in the happiness of your partner and show interest and appreciation. Do something daring. Take your lady to a place where she would be kind of scared. See how she clings to your arm. Some people are really adventurous and some people fear the unknown. That's part of the fun of trying something out of your comfort zone.

The question is: What does it mean? It might mean-- 1. You are together so much of the day that you both experience the same things and don't need to discuss them. --OR-- 2. You don't have very many interests in common --OR-- 3. You are both comfortable being silent --OR-- 4. ???

What do you think it is?

Comfortable silence is one of the many reasons why I love my relationship with my BF. However, it's not that neither one of us doesn't have something to say, it's just that we don't feel like talking.

I think if you already can't find anything to talk about it's a red flag. Conversation should come easy between you and your partner. If you find yourself months into the relationship with nothing to say to each other I think it's a pretty clear indication that this isn't meant to be.
