Break up or fixable?

Published on March 1, 2012 by claire_rr

Hey, I have been with my partner for 2 years now. We had been living together for 1 of those years, when we were having trouble finding a new house, he suggested we live separately. We still see eachother, but not nearly as often. When we are together now, he never wants to do anything, and I don't feel as wanted/loved as I used to... I really love him and we used to have such a connection. Should I end it or stick with him?

That may be a good idea. My opinion may be bias because I don't think that couples should live together until marriage (if they believe in marriage). However, you two have been living together for a year now and it seems that he is ready to move on...assuming that he wasn't joking with you. It seems like you two may be closer to a break up than staying together. Living apart is a good idea. It gives both of you time to decide whether or not the relationship needs to continue or not.

I know you dont want to hear this. But around the 2 year mark is when relationships start to loose a bit of their luster. they become more of a partnership as opposed to not being able to keep your hands off each other.
