Best wishes. It's always a risk. May you get lucky.
I'm sorry you went through that. Someone cheating on you is very hurtful. To make sure you are ready to date, make sure you feel self love, self respect, and confidence. If you don't, work on those things first. Either seek counseling or read books or articles on skills to develop those traits. When you feel good about yourself and are mentally healthy, you will usually attract people who also are mentally healthy.
Ready articles to spot potential players/cheaters. Some signs are that they spend a lot of time online chatting with friends who happen to be women. They guard their cell phone tightly. Make a list of must haves and dealbreakers for a new relationship. If a man doesn't meet your major needs, break it off. Don't settle for just any warm body. Be choosy in your choice. I don't mean to cut them off if they have minor flaws. Everybody does. I mean that if they have dealbreakers like cheating, addictions to porn or narcotics, emotionally or physically abusive, etc.
Always respect yourself to do what's best for you. You are in charge. You make the decisions. If someone's not worthy to be with you, kick them to the curb. Good luck.
