Career

I have been wanting to go for a new career. But I'm so scared to do so. What should I do to make my mind up?

Fear can be the greatest obstacle to following your heart. What is it that you are afraid of? Once you get clear on what your fear is about, you can take steps to diffuse it.

To explore your fear, sit in a quiet place, close your eyes and pose the question to yourself, "What am I afraid of in relation to my Career?" Another method is a written exercise in which you clear your mind and then write out the same question. Then just let the pen flow and write down whatever comes to mind. Write your stream of consciousness, without editing for spelling, etc. That should start you on your way. If you would like some help with this process, I would be happy to do a Complimentary Coaching Session with you.

Warmly,

Jill

The first step is to find out what it is that you're truly passionate about. What is it that comes so easily to you, but not to others? Also, are you someone that wants to be an employee or are you more of an entrepreneurial frame of mind. You haven't really gone into detail here, but what I found very helpful is to first start off my approaching friends, family colleagues (people that you know in all kinds of different ways in other words!) and ask them "What do you believe is my gift". This will give you a clue as to where to go next. Also, just start paying attention to compliments that people give you. What do they notice? What do they say? This will all help you with where to go next. Also have a think about what sets your soul alight? What sort of people do you want to be working with everyday? I've asked a lot of questions I know, but you have to be really clear about all this and when you are, you'll be in a very powerful position to make the leap.

My work involves helping women step into the highest version of themselves by becoming captivating, and in part, this means helping them tap into their passions. You can download a free copy of my book "How to be Captivating" at www.shayallie.com, and if you want to explore this a little further, I also do complementary 30 minute sessions on Skype.

Wishing you all the best

Shay
