Is there a way to get a just friends into more than friends?

I started talking to this guy, and we've opened up to each other. The thing is, i think i might be developing feelings for him. He's not your average kind of guy, he's intelligent, wants to get married, have children, and be successful in college and life. The thing is, how do i get his attention in order to see me as more than a friend? should I try something new? What should my next move be? What kind of hints should i give that i am what he needs? What are the things to do, to take this to the next step especially with a guy as smart, organized, ambitious, good-looking guy like he is? I want him to see me as more than just a friend, is that possible? If so, what tips can anyone share?

If you two are already friends then you already have a great bond, why not take that to the next level and ask him if he'd be interested in going with you to a new restaurant you want to try out or ask him if he wants to go biking with you on a new trail or try out a dance class with you. After that the next step is his and other than flat out telling him you'll have to wait for his next move.
